14. How to structure your podcast episode to capture attention from the get-go
19/12/2022 Duration: 05minHi, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #14. Today’s tip is answering the question ‘'What’s the best way to structure my podcast?” You may be thinking – does it even matter. And the answer to that question first is – yes it does especially if you’re looking to attract the attention of your ideal client from the beginning of your episode, maintain their attention and build interest and intrigue throughout the episode, right through to the end of your podcast as you share your outro. If you want to create a unique and compelling listener experience, while engage your audience, educate and share insights they don’t even know they don’t know, while entice them to take the next step, which is to get off your podcast and onto your list (in the most integral of ways) - yes it does and the structure of the podcast is key.

13. How to encourage your guests to promote their interview
11/12/2022 Duration: 05minHi this is Annemarie and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #13. Today’s tip is answering the question ‘How can I get my guests to promote their interview?” If you want to make sure your guests to promote their interview once it goes live here are a few things you need to consider: Make sure you are inviting the right kind of guests on your podcast – not all guests are created equal. There will be some guests that naturally promote more – because by being featured on your podcast they naturally gain exposure and build their brand awareness, which is a goal they desire. However, there are going to be some guests that just don’t need the added exposure and less likely to share the interview with their community because they don’t need the additional exposure. So, select your guests carefully – because they’re most likely going to be thin

This is tip #12. Have you ever asked the question ‘How can I make sure my podcast stands out?’ You’re not the only one. We’ve all asked ourselves that question. My answer, there are lots of ways you can make sure your podcast stands out. But boiled down – the shortened answer is: if you want to make sure your podcast stands out - make sure it’s outstanding, in every way. From you being clear on what makes YOU unique and uncopyable in terms of your personal brand, your message, your story, to the unique and uncopyable listener experience you create, to the topics you share on your show, right through to the guests you interview. If your podcast, the topics you speak about and the way in which you bring this information to life – the listener experience) is the same ol same ol that eve

[Ep#191] The Fail-Proof Formula for Success for Coaches
01/12/2022 Duration: 45minIf you’ve listened to one of my podcasts, I’m sure you’ve heard me speak about the importance of being consistent. In fact, my formula for success, says it all. THE FORMULA FOR SUCCESS: Clarity + Consistency, Over Time, WILL enable you to build the Momentum you need to grow a successful business. But herein lies an issue when it comes to the formula. With regards to Clarity – I'm talking about being clear on your message – and more specifically a message that works. Because sharing a message that’s not already working with more consistency still won’t work in generating the momentum you need. Or, another thing that can happen is to consistently share a message that’s NOT aligned with your goals, which can lead you in the wrong direction. So, you become known for something you don’t really enjoy or even want to be known for. So, in today’s episode I’m sharing: Two main issues that can occur when you don’t get clarity on your message What can happen when you don’t have clarity on a clear outcome –

27/11/2022 Duration: 05minHi, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #11. What’s in a name? Everything – because your podcast could just become a saleable asset. In tip #6, I mentioned how my own message got lost in the noise of my own podcast and I got so bored with the guests I was interviewing that I decided to stop production. I’d had enough. Now, this was my award-winning podcast, the Ambitious Entrepreneur Show, which not only had won an award but had also been frequently listed in top business and entrepreneurship podcasts. I was bored and just didn’t want to continue production – so I announced on Facebook that I was stopping production. Now, a surprising thing happened. Something I did NOT expect, but something that made me realize just how much of a reputation my podcast had built. I had several messages from people who wondere

10. Starting a podcast: How often should you publish your podcast?
20/11/2022 Duration: 05minHi, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #10. How frequently should you publish your podcast? If you’ve heard my response to tip #9 with that question: How long should your podcast be, I’m going to use the exact same response I gave to tip #9, to this question of how frequently should you publish your podcast, which is: It depends. Again, there are no rules to podcasting other than the rules you set yourself. And that’s the same when it comes to frequency and how often you should publish your podcast. The better question would be: What is the overall goal of your podcast and how do you plan on leveraging your podcast to help you achieve that goal? Also, what time commitment do you have? And, how are you best going to repurpose and leverage your podcast? One of my alliance partners publishes their podcasts when th

[Ep#189] 5 Pillars to an Optimal Client Relationship-Building Funnel for Coaches
17/11/2022 Duration: 29minOver the last few months inside my membership program for Coaches - The Influence Alliance, we’ve been spending time on mapping out our strategies for the customer journey – the sequence of strategic steps you take a prospective customer through as they get to ‘know, like and trust you’ and go from lead to paying customer. Do you have a strategy in place in your coaching business that’ll enable you to build a relationship with a prospective client, nurturing and taking them from just getting to know you, through to a warm lead, through to a customer who can’t wait to begin working with you? So, you become THE choice vs just A choice when they’re ready to move forward? If you answered ‘no’, or you have a few things in place, but they’re not streamlined, nor are the systems and nurturing funnel you have in place getting the best result for you – you're not alone. And, I’m not talking about having such a complex funnel that costs you tens of thousands of dollars, and is so confusing – it’s impossible to track

9. Starting a podcast: How long should your podcast be?
13/11/2022 Duration: 04minHi, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #9. Another question I’m often asked is: How long should my podcast be? And, if that’s something you’re wondering too, my answer to you would be: It depends. You may have heard me say before: there are NO rules to podcasting other than the rules you set yourself. And, those rules are going to depend on various things. When it comes to the length of the podcast – it depends on a number of facts: - How long do you need for you to get your message across? If you need 5 minutes – don't stretch it out to 20 minutes because someone’s told you, a good podcast length is 20 minutes. That’s ridiculous. Tell your ideal client what they need to know, tell them what the next step is and how they can find out more, and finish it up. If it takes 5 minutes – then 5 minutes it is. If y

8. Starting a podcast: Which is the best microphone
06/11/2022 Duration: 05minHi, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #8. In tip #7 I shared that one of the most common questions I’m asked by coaches who are thinking of starting their podcast is – where do I start? The second question I’m often asked is this: What’s the best microphone for my podcast? The answer is simple: The best microphone is the microphone you have available to you right now. However, before we even begin to consider technology – one of the questions I asked them is why do you want to start your podcast? And, if the answer is “because I’m just not generating the clients I want and I feel like the world's best kept secret and I’ve heard a podcast will help me get my message out to more people.” that response is a red flag. Why? Because if their message isn’t working already, if how they speak about themselves and the s

7. Starting a podcast: Where do you start?
30/10/2022 Duration: 04minHi this is Annemarie and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead podcast tip for coaches and consultants who want to launch a podcast to nurture listeners into leads, get clients and build their business with their podcast. This is tip #7. One of the most common questions I’m asked by coaches who are thinking of starting their podcast is – where do I start? So in this tip I want to share what I share with them and with all of my clients and my community. Where do you start when it comes to your podcast? You start with the end in mind. But not just ANY end in mind. But a specific end in mind. Because specificity is key. For instance a goal of: “I want to build visibility and brand awareness with my podcast” is not specific. Nor is, I want to grow my podcast downloads to 1,000 downloads per episode – that's not specific either. If we look at those two examples – being more specific with the first example of “I want to build my visibility and brand awareness with my podcast’ could become: “I want to buil

6.Mistake5: Your message getting lost in the noise of your own podcast
23/10/2022 Duration: 06minHey, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead tip. This is tip #6. And this is the last of the main mistakes that I made when I started my very first co-hosted podcast 13 years ago, which we did for two years, and then even continued to do over the years with the other podcasts that I had. I'm sharing these mistakes with you so that you can avoid making them and therefore not have to go through the frustration that I did. But rather launch your podcast and start generating real results from your very first episode. And this tip is not to let your message get lost in the noise of your own podcast. What do I mean by that? Well, I've made this mistake several times across a number of my podcasts. I see this happen time and time again, going back to one of the other mistakes that I shared with tip #3 and that mistake was comparing podcasts to mainstream radio. Like what I did, I did that and other shows have done that to other podcast hosts and businesses have done that, too. So what they

5. Mistake 4: Focused on a large audience vs niched audience
16/10/2022 Duration: 05minHey, this is Annemarie, and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead tip. This is tip #5, I'm still covering some of the mistakes that I made 13 years ago when I started my very first podcast. It was a co-hosted podcast that started in 2008. Go back to a couple of tips. And I share a little bit more about why I started back in Tip #2, I believe it is, but today, I'm covering tip #5. And that mistake is focusing on building a large audience versus a niched audience. Now previously, I've mentioned that we used to compare our podcast to mainstream radio, it really was the only thing that we can compare it to. We think an audio radio podcast is audio obviously now there's a video as well and live to stream. But back then it wasn't. I know even over the number of years that I've continued podcasting, one of the questions that I'm often asked, is do you have sponsors on the show? And I would say 99.99% of the time, I say no, we don't because I recognize the value of a highly niched audience. And I know that the know, l
