I saw this quote by Elbert Hubbard the other day. "Life is a checkerboard, and the player opposite you is time. If you hesitate before moving, or neglect to move promptly, your pieces will be wiped off the board by time. You are playing against a partner who will not tolerate indecision!" So that got me to thinking about all of the excuses, alibis and reasons we give ourselves when it comes to our health, fitness and just about anything we want to achieve. If only I had time... If only I were younger... If only I had the motivation... If only I was in better health... If only times were better... If I could just get started... If only I had support...
