This week we're going over the power that rituals have in your life.  If you aren't intentional about these, rituals can derail you.  If you get intentional about them and identify those that can help you, then they can take you to greater heights than you thought possible!   This episode is all about rituals and the kinds of things that you can do to take control of your mornings and evenings.  Many of the most successful people have many of the same things that they focus on in their morning routines.  We'll talk about that as well as some specific examples that I'll go through in my own life as well as those that I follow. Thanks for listening to Session 8 of the Crush Your Commute podcast.  This week we're talking about the stories we tell ourselves.  I know that I have a large committee of voices that are constant critics and don't really have my best interests at heart.  In this episode, we talk about the consequences that this can have and the 5 steps that you can take to completely reframe your story into something that empowers your life for success and fulfillment.     Hello!  This time we're talking about the 6 basic Human Needs that drive all of our behavior.  Getting a good grasp on these is essential to having the level of self awareness that great leadership requires.  There is a shortage of great leaders in the world today, and this is a big reason why.  We need more self awareness.  Understanding the 6 Human Needs and the psychology behind them will allow to reflect on your own motivations behind your default behaviors.   The other cool thing that this will do is illuminate what motivates other people to act the way that they do.  Once you understand what drives someone to act, you can begin to influence them.  This is vital in sales, consulting, coaching, conversations, meeting new people, any time you want influence!     Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!   As we get closer to the New Year, I'm really excited to provide you with a framework for designing the life you want next year.  This will be the end of New Years resolutions, the end of goals left unaccomplished.  This is for those of you who have goals that you really want to accomplish, and willing to take out an hour to go through this process and get the clarity and juice to follow through and get the life you're looking for. First, we have to clarify our priorities. Clarify what is important to us in our lives and get rid of the tunnel vision that resolutions often come with. Second, form written smart goals around these priorities. Specific, Measurable, and deadline keyed goals that are WRITTEN DOWN! Third, make sure you put them in the discomfort zone.  Nothing great ever happens in the comfort zone. Fourth, get clear on your motivation.  Why does this matter to you? Figure it out, and commit it to paper.  You'll never short

    In this episode, we tackle the stress that the Holidays bring to many people's lives.  The real reason that we feel stress during this time is because the pressure is notched up in every area of our life.  We literally feel as though we don't have enough time to get every thing done that we need to, at the quality that we expect.  If we can master the 3 skills of time management, we can create the mastery we need to remove this source of stress in our lives! We also go through my process that I've used many times to pull myself out of the weeds.  It is rooted in the idea that before we come up with our to do lists, we need to figure out and get clear on the result that we're looking for in a specific area of our lives.  What do we want, why is it a must, and only then what do I have to do? Once we master this framework, and the skills of time mastery, we will remove the most stressful part of most people's lives!
