Synopsis

Dharma Drops is a little bit about yoga, a little bit about life, and a little bit about whatever. Recorded as 15-30 minute episodes, Dharma Drops is designed to offer digestible nugs of information, inspiration, and inquiry. I'm a little candid and, sometimes, foul-mouthed. And, often, I speak before I think. But like yoga, life (and this podcast) is a practice. Even when I'm at my worst, I'm doing the best I can. And I hope we can do our best together.Dharma Drops offers musings--not Truths--about life living as a modern day yogi. On this podcast, we are dumping out the yoga Kool-Aid and seeking how we can be both a normal human and a yogi. And, sometimes, that means we don't talk about yoga at all--because it doesn't have to be all yoga all of the time.Giddy up, friends. Here we go.

  • Dharma Mini-Drop: Self-Care During Social Distancing

    01/04/2020 Duration: 33min

Self-care is a balance between doing what needs to be done and indulging in sweetness. And though I am often a stickler about strict forms of self-care (what I like to call self-care that sucks), the stressful nature of the coronavirus pandemic calls for a balance of effort and ease. In this episode, we are talking about ways to care for the self that can inspire both normalcy and sweetness. Most importantly, this episode emphasizes that our self-care practices must nourish ourselves so that we can show up fully for others. • Dharma Mini-Drop: Develop Your hOMe Yoga Practice

    25/03/2020 Duration: 31min

Now that most yoga studios are closed due to COVID-19, many of us are turning to our homes and the internet as a practice space. In this episode, I'm talking about the fundamentals of a home yoga practice so you can get the most out of your time on the mat. I cover where to practice and what yoga props you’ll need. Plus, I’m sharing a little insight into the benefits of recorded vs. live stream classes. Most importantly, this episode underscores that though yoga at home can't replace community, a personal, home practice affords one the opportunity to dive deeply into inquiry and discipline.
