  • 141: If You Only Listen To ONE Episode, This Is It

    10/06/2015 Duration: 41min

If I had to recommend just ONE episode to listen to of all 140 episodes of Moving Millennials to date, this would be the one.   This conversation with Chris Duane is the most important conversation I’ve had for this show. Chris is one of the most intelligent people I’ve come across. He walks his own path, questions everything is and is a brilliant critical thinker. Bottom line - you MUST listen to this episode from start to finish and spread it far and wide.   Chris is the creator of the blog ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ and the producer of the ‘Truth Never Told’ channel on YouTube. Chris’ YouTube channel has more than 92,000 subscribes and the 984 (and counting) educational videos he’s personally created have been viewed well over 20 million times.    Tune in, subscribe, and spread the word. The message Chris bring’s to this interview absolutely HAS to get out to the masses. I promise to have Chris back on the show soon. • 140: Back to Basics: The Difference Between Money and Currency (and why most people have no real money)

    08/06/2015 Duration: 22min

Money and Currency. Same thing, right? Maybe not. Today, as we continue our Back to Basics series, I discuss the difference between Currency and Money and do my best to communicate why this is so important to understand.    Mike Maloney has taught me so much about monetary history through his book ‘Rich Dad’s s Guide to Investing in Gold and Silver’, his YouTube series ‘The Hidden Secrets of Money’, and the endless content on his blog at GoldSilver.com.   Mike believes that the best investment you can make is in your own financial education, and I completely agree.   I try to cover a lot of ground today, and would love to hear your feedback, comments, and questions. Drop me a line via email, and if you want to learn more about The Liberty Network, just add ‘Liberty Network’ to the subject line.   In today’s episode, you will learn:   The 6 characteristics of Currency The 7 characteristics of real Money Why it’s so important to understand and recognize the difference between Currency and Money The definition

  • 139: Back to Basics - The 4 Asset Classes and Real Diversification

    05/06/2015 Duration: 19min

Every once in a while, it makes a lot of sense to go back and cover some of the basic concepts that lie at the heart of what we do.    A few years ago I was fortunate enough to be part of an online community called The Elevation Group. The focus of EVG was to bring cutting edge, outside-the-box financial education and investment strategies to the middle class. I voraciously consumed the content in this group. I watched the videos, I took copious notes, and I learned a lot.   Of everything I learned inside EVG, the lesson about The 4 Asset Classes and Real Diversification was the most important. Although this is a Back to Basics show, this lesson is somewhat outside-the-box, and one that I believe a lot of people need to hear.    If you can, bring out your notebook once again and follow along. Once you listen to the episode, send any questions, comments, and feedback directly to me.   Thanks for tuning in. Have an amazing day!   In today’s episode, you will learn:   A clear definition of each of the 4 asset c

  • 138: Back to Basics - Understanding the Cashflow Quadrant

    03/06/2015 Duration: 21min

It’s time to go back and cover some basics. Robert Kiyosaki’s Cashflow Quadrant is one of the simpler concepts to understand, yet it’s it had more impact on my professional life than almost any other idea.    I remember the first time I read ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’, and got the part about the Cashflow Quadrant. All of a sudden my path felt more clear, and since that day, I've never looked at work the same way.   For many of you this may be a review. That’s okay. Don’t underestimate the power in revisiting some of these basic concepts. For those of you discovering this idea for the very first time, I’m wildly excited for you.    As we grow The Liberty Network it’s so important that all of the members fully understand ideas like this one.   This is a pen and paper type of episode (if you’re in the space to write). Enjoy the show, and please continue to share your feedback with me via email.   In today’s episode, you will learn:   The difference between the left-hand and right-hand side of the quadrant How to move

  • 137: Helping Each Other Leave the 9-to-5, Jump Out of Debt, and Into Total Freedom

    01/06/2015 Duration: 33min

In today’s episode, I unveil something I’ve been working on behind-the-scenes for about a month. The Liberty Network brings together everything I’ve been learning over the past 5 years as an entrepreneur and puts it all in one spot. This private group is for those who truly get it.    It’s for young people who understand that the concept of a secure job no longer exists. It’s for young people who realize that salaries and wages aren’t keeping pace with increased cost of living. It’s for young people who want to leave the 9 to 5 once and for all, jump out of debit, and into total freedom.    Tune in as I discuss the 3 problems that are driving us inside The Liberty Network, and introduce the 4-Step Roadmap to Total Freedom.    If you want to learn more by watching the 3-part video series that covers the details of The Liberty Network, email me directly at dave@movingmillennials.com and write ‘The Liberty Network’ in the subject line.   This is the beginning of what I believe to be my most important and most va

  • 135: An Invitation To Consider A Vegan Lifestyle - Part 4 of 5

    18/05/2015 Duration: 19min

Here we are with Part 4 of my invitation to at least consider a vegan lifestyle. The primary focus today? You. Your health. Disease. Why the consumption of animal protein is the root cause of so many of diseases penetrating our society today.   The secondary focus for today’s episode? Our planet. Our home. The root cause of world hunger? Animal agriculture.   I’ve come to realize that for me, creating REAL health, involves eating in a way that is healthy for me, healthy for others (this includes animals), and healthy for the planet. If what I’m eating isn’t healthy for the planet, it isn’t healthy for me.   Tune in, and let me know what you think (make sure you start with Part 1) Where are you at with this invitation. 15/05/2015 Duration: 12min

It’s day 3 of my 5-part invitation for you to at least consider a Vegan Lifestyle. Believe me, this is NEVER something I thought I’d be doing on this podcast. If you’d have told me a year ago that I’d be a vegan today, I would have said “Not a chance.”   But things change. People change. When I got sick a few months ago, something inside me was begging me to seriously take a look at a whole foods plant-based diet, and to stop eating meat, eggs, and diary.    So here I am today sharing the speech that’s had the greatest amount of impact on me - Gary Yourofsky’s ‘Best Speech Ever’.   Tune in, and let me know what you think (make sure you start with Part 1) Where are you at with this invitation. Once again, tune in with an open mind as I read the second part of Gary Yourofsky’s ‘Best Speech Ever’.    Let me know what you think. Where are you at with this invitation. Are you in? • 132: An Invitation To Consider A Vegan Lifestyle - Part 1 of 5

    11/05/2015 Duration: 10min

This is it. The first of a 5-part series I’ve put together as a direct invitation to you - yes you - to at least consider living a vegan lifestyle. The most compelling argument I’ve come across for this way of life was assembled by the one and only Gary Yourofsky.   In today’s episode I read the first part of his ‘Best Speech Ever’. I invite you to listen with an open mind. At least consider everything he says. Ultimately, the choice is yours.   I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one, and the series to follow.  Send me an email at dave@movingmillennials.com with ideas, questions, criticisms, or requests, and like us on Facebook at http://facebook.com/movingmillennials   Here’s Gary’s complete speech:      Resources Discussed   Gary’s INCREDIBLE Website     Visit http://www.movingmillennials.com/132 for complete show notes, to download The Manifesto, and to receive your free ebook, 'The Millennial Mentors: Volume 1'.

  • 131: Why I Became a Vegan

    08/05/2015 Duration: 14min

That’s right. Perhaps the biggest change I’ve made over the past few months is that I have switched to a vegan lifestyle. My choice to go vegan was initially based on my health. I had started to find all kinds of research supporting the fact that my body might have a better chance of healing itself if I took all animal products out of my life.    Naturally, I started to do a whole lot of reading and YouTube-watching about the vegan way of eating and living. On my 4th day as a vegan, I stumbled across this speech on YouTube given by Gary Yourofsky:     I watched all 1 hour and 10 minutes of his talk, AND the 30-minute Q & A that followed (see below), and I was 100% sold. For life. I’m in.   In today’s episode I share a little bit about why I decided to go vegan and what about Gary’s speech convinced me to stay vegan, and commit to it for life. In the 5 episodes following this one, I will actually recite Gary’s entire speech. I’m doing this especially for those of you who simply don’t have time to watch a

  • 130: Moving Forward…A Bigger and Bolder Vision for Moving Millennials

    06/05/2015 Duration: 08min

In episode 129 (link to episode 129), I talked about why I decided to take a month off of podcasting and Moving Millennials. My health started to move in a downwards spiral about 3 months ago, and it’s been a bit of rough go.   The good news is that it seems like I am now on the up and up, and ready to step back into all things Moving Millennials, podcasting, and helping you create a life that’s FULL of travel, contribution and complete personal freedom.    In today’s episode, I chat about the new style you’re going to start to feel in the podcast and this platform. Based on a lot of self-education, I believe there are some BIG global events coming in the next 5-7 years that will impact every single person on the planet. I also believe that the vast majority of people are not prepared for these events, due to complete lack of awareness.    Without getting into details now, there are some specific steps we can all take today in order to prepare for what lies ahead. However, this can only happen once we’re trul

Helloooo Moving Millennials. I’m excited to inform you all that I am back. Back at the microphone, back in flow, and ready to take this thing to new heights.    As you likely figured out, I decided to take a complete break from Moving Millennials and the podcast for the month of April.
