163: Why You Should Spend More Time Talking To Yourself
14/09/2016 Duration: 23minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. Do you spend more time talking to yourself, or listening to yourself? THAT is the question for today’s episode. We’re surrounded by so much NOISE in our world today. At work, at home, on social media. This noise clouds our inner VOICE and causes us to live in a place of self-doubt and comparison. One of the best ways to silence the noise is to use the power of our own spoken word to actually speak - out loud - new thoughts into our mind. Today’s episode is all about WHY this is so powerful, and HOW to go about it. Listen in, then speak up. Oh yeah - did I mention the Moving Millennials Facebook Group. This is becoming a POWERFUL community of like-minded young people who are engaging in DAILY conversation to raise the collective consciousness on the planet. Join the crew ASAP.

162: Your Hands Move The Visible, Your Mind Moves The Invisible (Everything is Play Dough)
13/09/2016 Duration: 21minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. “When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money. That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is – everything around you that you call life, was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. The minute that you understand that you can poke life and actually something will, you know if you push in, something will pop out the other side, that you can change it, you can mold it. That’s maybe the most important thing. It’s to shake off this erroneous notion that life is there and you’re just gonna live in it, versus embrace it, change it, improve it, make your mark upon it. I think that’s very important and however you learn that, once

161: "Free Will" Is Not What You Think
12/09/2016 Duration: 36minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. In case you’re new to Moving Millennials, you should know that I am a HUGE fan of Neville Goddard’s work. Specially, his book called ‘The Power of Awareness’ has had a profound impact on my life. In today’s episode I chat about a concept from that book that has really made a difference for me. It’s the concept of ‘Free Will’, and how most of us are misdirecting it. Goddard talks about how Free Will simply isn’t what most people think, and why it’s so important to completely re-frame it for ourselves. Listen in to hear more about what he means, and how I apply this concept in my everyday life. This is POWERFUL stuff. Tune in, share the episode if it resonates, and let me know what you think. The best way to do that is through the Moving Millennials Facebook Group. I think there are a number of ways to uncover the answer to this question, and today I approach it from a perspective that I hope will help you to dissolve this fear in your life. Tune in to learn how I deal with my fear of rejection, and where I go FIRST to cause it to dissipate. Would LOVE to hear how you deal with this fear, and where it shows up the most in your life. 159: Are You A Critic, Or A Creator? (You Can’t Be Both)
10/09/2016 Duration: 23minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. I’m reading a book right now by Tim Grover called "Relentless: From Good To Great To Unstoppable”. In the book, he shares this one idea about criticism, courage, and creativity. Here it is: “Anyone can criticize, but it takes courage to create.” In today’s episode present a challenge to become hyper aware of when you are criticizing the work of another person. In those moments it’s so important to metaphorically look in the mirror and ask yourself what YOU are creating. I drop a couple of truth bombs in this one that I know lots of us need to hear, myself included. Tune in, share the episode if it resonates, and let me know what you think. The best way to do that is through the Moving Millennials Facebook Group. 158: I Have Failed At This SO Many Times...
09/09/2016 Duration: 21minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. Failure. It is SO important to success. We often move through life trying desperately to avoid it. The path to success is to run towards it with complete abandon. I’ve had an idea for a couple of months now, and I’ve completely failed to execute. Here’s the idea: to wake up EVERY morning (yes, including weekends) at 4:30am, go through a powerful morning routine, and record a podcast episode every day about what I’ve learned that morning. I’ve been TERRIFIED to commit to this and share the idea with you. Today, I’m doing it. Tune in as I chat about this crazy challenge I’ve given myself. Here are some of the other things I chat about in today’s episode: • What it means to be RELENTLESS, and how you’ve been taught to relent • Why it’s important to operate from instinct rather than thought • The key difference between an AFFIRMATION and an AFFORMATION • What my morning routine (currently) looks like If you’re not in it already, you’ll want to j

156: [NEW] The 5 Pillars of the Moving Millennials Platform
29/07/2016 Duration: 29minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. As the platform evolves, so too do the conversations we get to have inside the Moving Millennials community. In today’s episode I chat about the 5 Pillars of the community, and then have a quick chat about Persistence and Mastery. Because you might find more power in reading about these 5 Pillars, I’ll lay them out for you here. We focus in on one of these topics every day in the FB group (Monday - Friday): Mind The cause-substance of all that is. Your mind creates your matter, so your mind matters. Elevate your consciousness, and you elevate the collective. Master your mind, master your life. Movement The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are. Starting is everything. Motion gives you critical feedback. To move is to change location or position. Move your mind. Move your ideas. Move your body. Move your emotions. Move your soul. Move others. Money The great facilitator. Money is neit

155: The 5 Steps to Becoming a Game-Changer (What Game Will You Change?)
18/07/2016 Duration: 32minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. What’s up Movers?! With the evolution of this platform comes a new question that will live at the centre of everything we talk about and communicate. Here’s the question: What game will you change? Consider the fact that our world is comprised of hundreds of thousands of systems (or “games”) each guided by a set of values, principles, and rules. I truly believe that our generation is the first generation to be challenging (on mass) the games that have existed for hundreds of years. It is so important that we continue to expand ourselves as leaders, innovators, and change-changers so that the generation coming up behind us can live in an evolved world. My fried Aric Jackson calls them Generation Leadership, and I love that. Kids growing up today will become the most influential leaders our world has EVER seen. It’s important we feel that as we set them up to take on the torch. Today, I share the 4 games I am seeking to change in my time in on thi

154: How to Shift the Concept of Yourself, and Why It’s the Only Way to Manifest Lasting Change
13/07/2016 Duration: 01h05minWhat’s up Movers?! We had SO much fun creating this episode. Once again, I decided to run Facebook LIVE as I recorded the podcast. Simultaneously, I opened up my Zoom room (via http://zoom.us) and invited ANYONE tuning in via Facebook to hop on and be on the show. One brave soul jumped out, and I had the chance to have an impromptu conversation with the one and only Dr. Blake Brandes - host of the AWESOME podcast, Motivational Millennial. Dr. Blake Brandes is a youth motivational speaker, hip-hop educator, music producer, and student leadership expert. Blake received his PhD in Hip-Hop and Global Youth Cultures from the University of Kent. He believes in the importance of education and the power of hip-hop to connect with young people in a meaningful way. This allows him to effectively convey the value of academics, passion, and other tools of success that will help teens achieve their goals. Throughout the episode we chat about the following: • The Law of Assumption and the role it plays in your life • Why I

153: I’m Back Behind The Mic
06/07/2016 Duration: 43minSubscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve produced and published a podcast. A LOT has happened since the last episode (including the birth of my son, Brady). Thank you for waiting patiently (I know you’ve done nothing except refresh the Moving Millennials podcast feed on your iPhone since last August). In today’s episode I share what I’ve been up to for the past year, and talk a little bit about what Moving Millennials will look like moving forward. You’ll also notice that I tried something completely new (and scary) for this episode. I recorded the episode WHILE I was on Facebook Live. This means the show is interactive and is a hybrid of a live talk radio show and a pre-recorded podcast. Would LOVE your feedback on how this works (or doesn’t). Send an email over to dave@movingmillennials.com. The question of the episode was asked by Desiree Diaz. She wanted to know: "How do you personally push through and stay engaged or find motivation when things get cro
