On October 31st, 1957, Peter and Betty Fabiano, were settling into bed after a long night of trick or treater's ringing their doorbell. Then, when their doorbell rang again, at 11 o’clock at night, Peter begrudging, but dutifully walked back to the door to offer up some Halloween sweeties to whom he expected would be a child.  Whilst Betty waited in bed, she heard Peter’s muffled comment “Isn’t it a little late for this” followed by a loud pop, and then squealing tires as a drove on.  Betty raced to Peter finding him sprawled on the floor, bleeding due to a gunshot to his chest. Although Betty called out for help and several officers arrived within minutes to the scene of the shooting. Mark Duggan, a 29-year-old British man, was shot and killed by police in Tottenham, North London on 4 August 2011. The Metropolitan Police stated that officers were attempting to arrest Duggan on suspicion of planning an attack, and that he was in possession of a handgun. Duggan later died from a gunshot wound to the chest. On May 23, 2014, Rodger started his rampage, which he titled "The Day of Retribution", by stabbing three people to death. He then went to the Alpha Phi sorority house near the University of California, Santa Barbara, with the intention of massacring all of the occupants inside. On January 10, 2011, the newly married McAreavey’s arrived at the Lux hotel and inquired about a possible accommodation upgrade.
