Today's episode describes how Mindful Rights and Lefts can help you get and stay mindful. Questions: 1. Which hand did you use to press play on this episode? 2. Which hand did you use to get toothpaste onto your toothbrush this morning? 3. Which hand did you open the fridge door with? 4. Which arm goes through a sleeve first when you put a shirt on? 5. Which foot goes in first when you take a bath or shower? 6. Which foot goes first when you walk through a door? 7. Which foot do you use when opening a step trash can? Today’s actionable tip has three levels. It’s totally up to you which level you want to take action on. Level 1 Action: Notice This is noticing with hand or foot, arm or leg you use to complete a task. 31 Actionable Tip – Meditation – Date to Meditate
08/04/2015 Duration: 13minHere's a simple strategy for daily meditation! Hey it's Josie with Affirmation Pod. Here's my first actionable tip! It's called the "Date to Meditate" Meditation. It's a super easy way to get meditation in your routine. Here goes... Before you go to sleep, think of today's date. Then take that many deep, relaxing breaths. For sample, if it's the 8th of the month, take a deeeep breath, and in your mind say "8." Then take another deeeep breath, and in your mind say "7" Repeat until you get to zero. That's it!! It's your "Date to Meditate" And so tomorrow night, you will take a deeeep breath, and in your mind say "9" (or whatever the date is). And repeat until you get to zero. Sometimes you might fall asleep before you get to zero, but hey, that's okay too - we all need solid rest! Every test proves my growth and maturity and how much I've moved on. The past sometimes comes knocking, but I don't have to answer. I wish them the best, but I'm not one of them. 16 Meditation – A Grounding Meditation
16/02/2015 Duration: 03minTo get centered again... I am safe. I am in my body. I am completely in my body. I am not in the past. I am not caught up in the "what ifs." I am here in the now. I am aware of where I am right now physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I know the clothes that I am wearing. I feel the sensations in my feet. I am aware of the room I'm in and my immediate surroundings. I take deep breaths, aware of my breath moving in and out. I take cleansing breaths, aware of the breath moving in and out of my body. I take grounding breaths, feeling the air come into my body and feeling tension release from my body. I feel grounded, I feel anchored, I feel rooted in my strength, my resilience and my resolve. All my focus is directed to this present moment. I behold what's here now. I channel all my thoughts, energy and emotion into now. My heart and mind flow with ease.
