02/03/2022 Duration: 38minI love the topic we’re talking about today, because it’s something I struggled with early on in my business. We’re gonna be talking about creating offers, and why it is the one of the foundational skills you need as an online business owner.Eight years ago I was burning through my savings. I was 15 months removed from my corporate job, and I was getting pretty close to the point where I might have to go back to the corporate world, which is not what I wanted to do.I met with a business coach and they said, “Why aren’t you making any money in your business?” I was like, “Well, if I knew the answer to that question I wouldn’t be here.” Then I thought about it further, and I was like, “Oh, wait, I’m not selling anything!”I wasn’t selling anything. I didn’t have an offer. The offer creation process is so fundamental to the success of your business. As soon as I created my first offer back in 2014, the business took off.I had an offer, and I knew who I wanted to attract and how I wanted to help them. There’s nothin

23/02/2022 Duration: 43minFor today’s episode I’m excited to bring you part two of my interview with Kim Wenzel. If you’ve not yet heard part one, go back and listen to part one. It’s going to make today’s episode make way more sense if you’ve listened to last week’s show. I broke it up into two parts because there is so much greatness in my conversation with Kim.We’re going to have a discussion around the question: are you doing things in your business because you want to do them, or doing them because you think it’s going to help your business? There’s a fine line there, so we’re going to talk about how to walk that fine line.We talk about why the more financial success that you see in your business, the harder it tends to be to tap into what you want—what makes you happy. We spend a lot of time today talking about defining success. Why you have to take the time to define what success looks like for you.We also talk about how people make decisions. Your customers will make decisions about working with you based on how you show up in

Hiring: How to Choose Between Two "Finalists"
18/02/2022 Duration: 12minThis is another quick tip episode here on the show. When I started these quick tip episodes several years ago, the plan was to have them be around 10 minutes or less.In the past year and a half, they’ve gotten a little bit longer. I realize that, but I’m trying to get back down to that “quick hit” kind of 10 minute episodes. My goal is to give you something to think about. Something that can help you right now, and something that you can go and implement.Because I hear from so many of you that you love these quick tip episodes, and I love doing them, frankly. With that, let’s get right into it today. I want to talk about something that came up in a recent Accelerator coaching call with one of our members. They were trying to decide between two great candidates that they had. They had two finalists for an open position on their team.Their question was, “How do I make this decision? How do I decide? They’re really good candidates.”Today I’m going to answer these crucial questions. I’m going to share some tips to

Facebook/IG Ads: Avoid This (Overlooked) Mistake When Running Conversion Ads
11/02/2022 Duration: 10minToday, I want to share with you one of the fastest and easiest ways to kill your lead costs with your Facebook and Instagram ads. This came up during a recent coaching session that I was doing with one of our members. They were running a campaign to build their list ahead of a launch that they had coming up, and their results were terrible. They had nine conversions, and they'd spent $400 on the campaign. After doing a little investigating, we realized they had a lot of clicks on their ad, but less than a quarter of those actually reached their landing page.Well, we did a page load speed test and it failed a whole bunch of things. It got a "D" grade for many of the things the test was looking at.So today, I want to talk about how you can make sure the technical side of your website and landing pages are working properly. If people are leaving the page because it’s taking too long to load, that’s a big problem.I’m going to give you some tips and tricks you can implement right now to make sure you’

Facebook Ads Tracking: How to Improve the Validity of Your Data
21/01/2022 Duration: 20minToday I want to talk about Facebook ads tracking, because if we learned anything in 2021—after iOS 14.5, and the whole privacy/tracking situation, and all that—if we learned anything, it’s that we can’t trust the validity of the data that we see in Facebook’s Ads Manager. It’s going to give us data, but the data’s not super accurate, which is really scary when we’re running our ads. We need accurate data in order to make effective decisions, and we’re hopeful that the Facebook algorithm is getting the appropriate data to optimize our ads.So, we’re going to talk about tracking our ad results. It’s become almost like a triangulation of data. I’m going to share three different things that you really should be doing when you’re running your ad campaigns to give you the best idea of how truly well—or not so well—your ads are running.Remember, the data that you’re seeing inside of Ads Manager, I want you to take it with a grain of salt. It’s a data source, and we’re going to use that data, but I’m going to offer you
