Alabama's state legisltature recently passed the most restrictive abortion law in the nation fully expecting that it will end up being litigated in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. In the meantime, there are some Muslim leaders applauding the decision as a moral victory, yet offering no real solutions to the millions of women impacted by this decision. We talk with Scholar/Activist/Writer Donna Auston of Rutgers University who offers commentary about this decision; the impact of the white evangelical polical mass on women and other minority communities (Muslims included), and more. Zakiyyah is the Cultural Arts Director for Society of United Neighbors (S.U.N.) who has taught theater arts for over 40 years.
