Our guest is none other than Zakiyyah El-Amin, who also happens to be the Mother of Radio Islam Host- Tariq El-Amin. Zakiyyah is the Cultural Arts Director for Society of United Neighbors (S.U.N.) who has taught theater arts for over 40 years. She's taught in the Chicago Public School System, Chicago Park District, Suburban School districts, the Beverly Arts Center and more. Zakiyyah has written hundreds of skits, monologues, and poems which have resulted in her students winning multiple awards, over the years. Tariq talks with her about the importance of theater arts, some of the work she's done and her upcoming play Nubian Brother.
