This week we catch up with Grand Canyon University Head Coach Ben Canfield. Canfield discusses his growth as coach and how he was able to transition from a bowler at ASU to his current coaching role. Ben talks about his teams what went right for the teams in San Jose and how they are approaching the season.

This week we catch up with Head Coach at St. Xavier University Michael Kay. Kay talks about his teams' early season win and how he hopes to continue to build on the program. We discuss recruiting in the Chicagoland area how he approaches the mental game. We talk about how he coaches the men and women different if he does and his goals for the teams.

This week we catch up with reining PWBA Player of the Year Bryanna Cote'. Cote' shares her thought on winning the award and how she handles looking back at wins and losses. Bryanna shares her plans moving for the next few months as the PWBA Tour doesn't start up until 2022.

This week we catch up PWBA Tour Championship winner Shannon Pluhowsky.  Pluhowsky joins us to put into words that win in Reno and her mindset heading into the semi-final match.  Shannon talks about her decision to step away from her role with the University of Nebraska as an assistant coach and if she will consider coaching again.  We end discussing her love of coaching and how it helps her to give back to the sport. 

This week I catch up with coaching great Mark Baker. Baker joins me to share tips for how to break out of a slump and how a slump is different based on a bowlers skill level. We also talk about how he has evolved as a coach and why he is a fan of coaching two-handed players.

This week we catch up former Vandy bowling standout Maria Bulanova. Bulanova discusses her time bowling in college and what lead her to bowling for Vanderbilt University. We also talk about her roll with the St. Francis College Brooklyn Women's Bowling team.

This week we catch up with former Nebraska Bowler Julia Bond. Bond was recently named an assistant coach with the team. Julia discusses her PWBA season to date and what clicked for her this year. We also chat about Lincoln Nebraska and what drew her back.

This week we catch up with Mercy Hurst University Head Coach Mike Machuga. Machuga discusses beginning the program and where he thought it would be vs where the program is now and how he is learning as a coach. Mike talks about he handles sharing all of his bowling knowledge and his tournament coming up this weekend. Machuga ends our time together discussing the meaning of a video on Facebook he posted of his brother-in-law shooting 300. 

This week we catch up with first year head coach at Carroll University Courtney Ermisch. Ermisch bowled at Robert Morris where she won two national titles. Ermisch talks about starting the program at Carroll and some of her first objectives as coach. We also discuss her time as a player and how she is able to use that experience when coaching the ladies.

This week I catch up with PWBA star Danielle McEwan to discuss her 2021 season. McEwan also discusses dealing with an injury the first time in her career and why she continued to bowl while hurt. We also talk about the final PWBA event and what she looks for in a coach.

This week we catch up PBA Star Chris Barnes. Barnes talks about his recent trip to Storm HQ to work on a few things and how his practice sessions have changed throughout the years. Chris also has some advice for parents when it comes to watching their kids bowl and what went through his mind when he was bowling for big paydays.

This week we catch up with Josie Barnes to talk about her U.S. Open win. Barnes is the head coach at Vanderbilt University, where she also bowled. We chat about her mindset heading into the final match and how she was able to stay in the moment in the championship match.

This week I chat with former collegiate standout Taylor Bailey about her PWBA Regional title and life on the PWBA Tour. Taylor talks about how she plans to build on her win in Texas. We also discuss her new coaching position at Arkansas State and how her game changed in college. --

We also chat about the changes made over the past year due to the pandemic and which of those changes he may implement even after the pandemic. DeGraaf also shares his thoughts college athletes being paid and what that means to his athletes.

This week on the Storm Collegiate Spotlight Podcast we chat with Heather D'Errico.  Heather D'Errico and Johnny Di Santis launched the Bowling Sports Performance Institute and Heather is the founder of Bowl Fit.  We chat with Heather about fitness and bowling, and how to eat well on the road.  Heather also discusses a few common misconceptions regarding weight training and what she is doing to prepare for upcoming tournaments.  

This week I catch up with PBA Star Sean Rash to discuss his outstanding performance at the USBC OC this week.  Sean discusses why he believes he bowls well at South Point and his reaction to folks who say pros should not bowl the Open Championship.  We also chat about what amateurs do to sabotage there trip to the USBC OC, and what changes he is seeing in Kyle Troup's game.  

This week we catch up with former standout at Sam Houston State and PWBA star Stephanie Zavala. Zavala discusses her time bowling in college and how her game improved while bowling in college. We also talk about what clicked for her on the PWBA Tour this year as she has two titles and is the leading candidate for ROY.

This week we catch up with recent PWBA Tour winner Verity Crawley. We discuss her first win and what it was like bowling in Portland Maine last week. Verity also discusses the "Webber Way" which is something we hear quite a bit about regarding her time bowling at Webber International University.
