PMP: Chronilus - Threshold album
10/11/2014 Duration: 02h05minChronilus has returned! They are crowdfunding their album, Threshold. So RevKess and Kalisara get to ask all the questions about what they've been doing and, more importantly, where we can see and hear their music! Chronilus is a new Celtic and World Fusion band from the Seattle area. Their enchanting vocal harmonies float over a musical landscape created by a combination of historical, traditional, and modern instrumentation, from all around the world. Here the clairseach, the brass-strung harp that entertained medieval Irish nobility, may play with harmonies from an electric guitar influenced by progressive rock. Funky electric bass may provide a solid foundation alongside the driving rhythms of the West African djembe. With a range of expression from raw, primal energy to ethereal finery, Chronilus' songs explore such subjects as connection, history, fantasy, and ageless spirituality. AUDIO TECHNICAL NOTE: Bone Deep, Sonia, Manfred and Caera were dialed in on one line, so there may be some slight aud

Thank you to Lincoln listener Loye and Omaha listeners Brad and Jeremy for their support and to Lincolnite Joan for her continued support for Lavender Hill and KZUM. The hosts did much more than just ask for your money. They continued the conversation from last week regarding trans education of teachers and staff at Lincoln Public Schools, including the audio for Superintendent Steve Joel explaing to parents the LPS guidelines. It would seem that this rumoured "mandate" for trans-inclusion had hit national media thanks to a teacher sharing a handout with a parent and implying it was to be enforced policy at LPS. On Tuesay

PMP: Shauna Aura Knight & What is an elder?

In that conversation RevKess and KaliSara brought up the issue of the year - "leaders" of the community who have failed the community. Over the course of 2014 there have been several instances of disappointment within the global Pagan community, many of those taking place in the United States. Kenny Klein, Z Budapest, the "revelations" about Marion Zimmer Bradley, and most recently certain business and podcast personalities stick their feet so far down their throats a proctologist is needed to tie their shoes. Throughout 2014, Shauna has been writing a series of leadership posts for her blog. In this edition of PMP she will join RevKess to talk about "what is an elder" and what happens when a supposed elder fails the community. This is a continuation of the conversation started with Taylor on the previous edition of PMP.

PMPC: In the beginning
15/09/2014 Duration: 02h00sIt's RevKess's birthday and neither him nor KaliSara knew what to do for this show. After asking on his personal FB page, RevKess came up with an idea. "In the beginning" references the suggestion made by at least one listener to talk about how he got on his spiritual path. Expanding this to include KaliSara's journey, that is the somewhat random plot for the show. Interspersed along the way will be a heavier sampling of music and some other musings.
