RevKess and Kalisara are proud to bring you a few of the 78 artists who created 78 Tarot, an epic deck filled with a variety of artistic styles and gorgeous artwork from around the world. 78 Tarot grew organically through social media. Kayti Welsh asked some of her friends to help and within 24 hours they had 78 artists. The deck features Jasmine Becket-Griffith (a Disney licensed artist), Larry Elmore (known for his work on the Dragonlance books), Everette Hartsoe (of gothic comic book fame), "DragonLady" Carla Morrow, fantasy artist Meredith Dillman, Patricia Ariel and fantasy artist Tiffany Toland-Scott. 78 Tarot First Edition Deck was the debut project that was successfully funded via Kickstarter in July of 2014. The First Edition did not follow any kind of theme and the artists were left up to their interpretation without any set of rules to follow. The second deck, the Tarot Nautical, is currently in production.

  • PWN 2015.6.4: Love & Marriage constitutional style

    27/06/2015 Duration: 02h00s

It is June 26th, an important date in the history of the United States and the history of the LGBTQ rights movement. Three times on June 26th the Supreme Court of the United States has maded a ruling that has deeply effected the progress of that movement. In 2003 SCOTUS made a ruling that introduced the idea of "sexual privacy" as a constitutional issue. In 2013 SCOTUS overturned DOMA S3. And this year, SCOTUS rules in favor of marriage equality nation wide. RevKess and KaliSara are both ordained ministers recognized by the State of Nebraska and elsewhere. They have been eagerly anticipating a favorable ruling from SCOTUS so that they can offer their services to gay and lesbian couples who wish to be legally bound in matrimony. As Pagans and supporters (or members) of the LGBTQ community both have been willing, ready, and able to perform non-legal ceremonies for their LGBTQ friens, family, or clients who have sought them out for such services. With this decision from SCOTUS hundreds, if not thousands, of Pag

  • PMP: Wendy Callahan and writing Steampunk Fantasy

    22/06/2015 Duration: 02h03min

RevKess is pleased to get the opportunity to visit with Wendy Callahan, a Nebraskan author and steampunk novelist with an extensive background in Paganism and spirituality. Note: The focus of the show went in a different direction at the request of Wendy. She wanted to talk about Pagan parenting, or more to the point, parenting as a Pagan. There is a difference. Tune in for the archive of the show to learn more about that. The topic of her writing came up towards the end of the show. As her bio describes: "Wendy is a contemporary and steampunk fantasy author, co-author of "Steampunk for Simpletons," and a genealogical Nancy Drew in disguise. A college town New Englander turned one-horse town Nebraskan, she raises a cup of Dunkies to life among cornfields and coyotes. She is still pleasantly surprised that amber waves of grain exist, and has declared the Midwestern prairies "wicked cool." "Her writing has been featured in “Witches & Pagans” (f.k.a. “newWitch”), “The Beltane Papers”, “If… A Journal of Sp

  • PWN 2015.6.3: The Pope and Charleston

    19/06/2015 Duration: 01h26min

Last week RevKess and KaliSara stayed on the "sunny side" of things. That's not going to happen this week. With Wednesday's mass shooting in Charleston, SC at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church there is little way to avoid the negative in the news. Dylann Roof, 21 yr old, is the suspected shooter in the deaths of 9 members of the church, including the pastor and state senator Clementa Pinckney. On a brighter note, Pope Francis II has issued a papal statement calling on all of humanity to acknowledge and battle climate change. Something that most Pagans can recognize as true. The first five months of 2015, on a global level, have been record breaking for high temperatures and this Spring has been one of the wettest in the Midwest of the United States - closing Pagan Spirit Gathering and threatening other events. This and more on PWN for Thursday 18 June 2015.

    08/06/2015 Duration: 02h05min

With the many things going on in parts of the country that make certain school districts less friendly to Pagan children, children with learning disabilities and/or giftedness, and more, it is becoming much more common and accepted for parents to take on the task of schooling their children at home. In addition, homeschooling in the age of the internet and social media has become much more feasible and complex. Also, Pagan homeschooling is a viable alternative to the religious private schools available to Christians. Join RevKess and Kalisara in talking about Pagan homeschooling.
