Pagan Weekly News launches it's second year of bringing you news, views and interviews from the Pagan community and commentary on mainstream news items from a Pagan Perspective. This second year of the show will start out with a discussion of the current state of the 2012 Presidential race in the United States and then hop across the pond into Europe and discuss some of the issues that face Pagans and non-Pagans alike. After an update on some of the Kickstarter campaigns that members of the PMPC family support, your hosts will return to the US for a discussion of the state of affairs regarding gender and secxuality concerns for the spirituality minded, regardless of their religious persuassion. 

Early on the morning of Sunday 22 July 2012,a woman was attacked in her home in Lincoln, NE. The attack is being investigated as a possible hate crime. That night over 500 people attended a candle vigil to show their love and support for who the media later called Rainbow Jane and has now come forward as Charlie Rogers, formewr Husker basketball star and small business owner.   A week later (Sunday 29 July 2012), Corwin and Phil sat down to a special hour long edition of Lavender Hill with community activists and friends Beth Rigatuso of Heartland Pride, Karen Bratton of Stary City Pride and Tyler Richard. Today was the Houston, TX memorial service for David Grega. Dave was an influential voice in Pagan podcast: one of the hosts of Pagan Centered Podcast, and intrumental in the creation of Proud Pagan Podcasters and the Pagan Newswire Collective. This evening we will spend a brief time honoring his memory. And then... Celebration. We are nearing the first harvest, so let us talk about life and how to celebrate the things that we have in our life. We will have a specific focus on the Pagan children's book series Rupert's Tales. July 19th is the official anniversary date for Pagan-Musings Podcast, but we'll fudge it a bit to make it happen on a Saturday. Can you believe it has already been three years since KaliSara and RevKess started this thing on a whim? They've gone from an hour to sometimes three hours, from a once a week program to up to four times a week in that three year span. PMPC has expanded to included The Zaracon Show, Pagan Weekly News, Musica Pagani and later this year Seeking the Grail. Join your hosts as they reminisce about the first three years and discuss some of their plans for the next year or so.

Science meets religion in this edition of Pagan Weekly News. Join RevKess and Zaracon as they discuss the Higgs Boson and how it could effect the future of science and religion. Known as the God Particle to some, the Higgs Boson could very well change how many people look at the universe. Sometime during the show, Teo Bishop will be visiting the hosts asnd talking about his recent revelation to the Pagan community. Teo is the asuthor of Bishop in the Grove blog on Patheos.com and is a musician. 

Zaracon tackles a very personal topic. Obesity. This is hoped to be the start of a series on taboo topics in the Pagan community. He is also joined by one of his children in the chat room and then on the phone. Fair warning: If you cry easily, have the tissues at hand. This is a very emotional episode.

Borrowing a little from their friend Steven Kenson, RevKess and KaliSara will delve a bit further into their Finding Reality in Fiction series by visiting the Gods and Goddesses of role playing games. Many of the deities used in such games as Dungeons & Dragons are borrowed from real mythologies from around the world. Tonight they will talk about some of them and how that exposure has lead some in the gaming world to Paganism, and vise versa. That and more on this edition of Pagan-Musings Podcast.

As the 236th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence (United States) is two days away, Zaracon and RevKess are focusing the start of the show on a dicussion of patriotism and religion. Not limiting the discussion to Paganism, the hosts will provide the listeners with links and commentary to articles and op-ed pieces dealing with patriotism in the US and elsewhere and how it relates to various religions.
