  Due to some health issues, Zaracon has placed The Zaracon Show on hiatus for the month of September. To fill its place on Sundays, RevKess has stepped up to the plate with his concept idea for a variety show. The show format will change from week to week. One week may be music, the next may be book talk, there might even be an interview thrown in somewhere. (Show has been moved to 2:30 Central to accommodate RevKess's growing terrestrial radio schedule.)   Rest assured, Zaracon is only taking some well deserved and much needed rest. He will be back in October unless the Gods tell him to take a longer break. In the meantime, there will be the occasional posting of one of his earlier shows from before he merged the Zaracon Show with the Pagan-Musings Podcast Channel.

RevKess and Zaracon present the Pagan Weekly News every Monday evening at 7pm Central. They bring you news, views, and interviews from the Pagan community as well as commentary on mainstream news coverage from a Pagan Perspective.   This week they will discuss the Occupy Movement one year later. The episode airs on the one year anniversary of the official launch of the Occupy Movement. Listeners are welcome to join the hosts in the chat room to share their comments and insights.   Armchiar political commentator and Occultist, Taliesin Govannon sits in for Zaracon this week.

Join KaliSara and RevKess as they talk about what introverted Pagans can (and do) bring to the table. Extroverts are always the center of attention, whether they plan it that way or not. But the introvert is just as much a part of Pagan events. Learn a little from KaliSara, a self professed introvert, on what other introverts do to help grow the community. RevKess, who is obviously an extrrovert, will try to remain quiet and allow her to lead the show. (We'll see if he can manage to do that.)   This weekend is also RevKess's 3(cough)th birthday. Much of the music will be from some of his favorite artists.

Tonight RevKess and KaliSara talk about Pagan Pride and other ways of showing pride in your spirituality and religious practices.   In the first hour, RevKess is joined by Amie Tolomeo of the South Jersey Pagan Pride Day for a talk about what it takes to put on such an event and how you can learn more. With luck, later in the show KaliSara and RevKess will be joined by Shauna Aura Knight for a little visit about Chicago's Pagan Pride Day which is Sunday, Setpember 9th. KaliSara and RevKess tackle a hot button topic this week.    Through books such as Jesus Through Pagan Eyes and The Jesus Mysteries: Was the "Original Jesus" a Pagan God? the debate/discussion began. Star Foster stepped out and publicly rejected the Christian concept of Christ on her blog and Kenny Klein has published an article on Pagans and Witches's blog portal the Pagan Square.   Tonight KaliSara and RevKess will discuss this debate. KaliSara talks Pagan Parenting and going back to school. RevKess talks about opportunities for continued education.   In the first hour they will be joined by Holli S. Emore, the Executive Director at Cherry Hill Seminary and possibly Wendy Griffin, the Academic Dean at CHS. They will be talking about what CHS has to offer and reminding you that it is never too late to go back to school for any reason. UPDATE: Wendy Griffin was unable to join the conversation due to a scheduling conflict.   In the second hour KaliSara and RevKess will chat about Pagan parenting and your kids going back to school this fall. Though for many the school year has already started, this will be a good oppoortunity for parents to hear some methods of integrating their children's  school life into their spirituality. There will also be talk about other opportunities for adult continuing education.

In this week's episode, KaliSara and RevKess will explore the idea of activism. Political, ecological, religious, etc. Activism has played a roll for many Pagans of today and our recent ancestors. Is activism an obligation to Pagans or do Pagans seem to pick up the roll of activist, for many different issues, more so than other religionists? Your hosts will explore this topic and maybe share insights and talk with other Pagans in the community.

RevKess and Zaracon host the Pagan Weekly News. RevKess hopes to be joined by Peter Beckley from That Witchy Place for discussion of the news and events of the week from a Pagan perspective. In July KaliSara did a solo episode where she talked about healthy living from a Pagan perspective. This we we continue that discussion. In light of a recent discussion in the Pagan blogosphere about obesity in the Pagan community, we thought it would be a good idea to readdress some of the issues related to healthy living. Genetically Modified Organism (GMOs), Monsanto (that large corporation largely responsible for altering the goods we eat) and living a  more healthy lifestyle as Pagans.   Peter Beckley of That Witchy Place joined KaliSara and RevKess for the second half of the show. Peter and his wife are Pagan homesteaders and grow has much of their own foods as they can. 

Pagan Weekly News, host by Zaracon and RevKess, brings you news, views and interviews from the Pagan community as well as commentary on mainstream news items from a Pagan perspective.   With intending to, this week's episode focused mainly on violence in America. The Sikh Templ,e shooting in Wisconsin, an attack on a Masonic Lodge in Detroit that resulted in the death of the Grand Master, and many other violent incidents - including Mitt Romney's campaign. We feel that this will probably become a a multi part series. We do not want to focus on the bad, but the (apparent) increase of violence against religious and magical institutions is important to the Pagan community.   Zaracon was unable to participate in this episode due to health issues. You can hear more about those during the show. We hope that he will back in the saddle by the next episode.

In recent months there have been many discussions and debates within the Pagan community that have caused many of us to pause and think about what we do, say and think. Even more rercently, RevKess has had the experience of dealing with the aftermath of hate in his own community. This episode is going to address some of the issues that have brought humanity, at least those in the United States, to where they are today.   Listener Caution: This episode may be very emotional and may contain stronger language than usual.
