Having entered Jerusalem, Jesus took time to reveal to His disciples what was to come in the days ahead. Some of the events He spoke of are yet future in our day.

Jesus made His entry into Jerusalem as the priests began to inspect the lambs to be offered during the Passover Feast, where He, the Lamb of God, would also be examined. As we’ll see in this study, He would also be inspecting His inspectors!

This was the Day that the Lord had made – the very day of the Messiah’s arrival and presentation in Jerusalem. But while His arrival was received with joy, it was also met with opposition.

As Jesus continues to draw near to Jerusalem, and ultimately the cross, He would continue to draw people to Himself…and explain the cost of discipleship in following Him.

We rejoin our study in Luke’s Gospel this morning, and take time to consider the importance examining our intentions when seeking the Lord.

This morning we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, and consider the importance, and the implications of His resurrection from the dead.

This Palm Sunday morning, we will break from our study in Luke to focus on Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, and discuss what His arrival meant then - and now.

This morning Pastor Brian continues our study in Luke’s Gospel, looking at chapter 17. In this study, we will look into Jesus words concerning our attitude toward forgiveness, our need to connect faith with obedience, and we’ll consider the conditions leading up to His return.

The word “investment” will typically bring to mind visions of the stock market, or other financially related ideas. But on a much deeper level, we must consider into what we invest our hearts, because the dividend of that choice has eternal impact.

Pastor Brian recently spent a week in Guatemala, having the opportunity to come along side Servants 4 Him, and to participate in the work of training local pastors. This morning we’ll hear about this trip, as well as touch base on our upcoming group trip in July, 2015.

How great is the love of God? We’ll spend our time in this teaching learning of the lengths that our Heavenly Father will go to reach even one lost sinner.

Much of the passage in this week’s study may seem familiar, centering on a phrase (Luke 14:11) that many followers of Christ have heard often. But as we consider Jesus’ teachings, we will see something here that is key to the deeper Christian life…and hopefully come to the realization that knowing about a deeper life with Christ is not the same thing as having a deeper life with Christ.

While in many arenas of life, being “open-minded” can be a great benefit, in other areas, it has the potential to build a barrier to truth. Because of this, many push against the invitation of God to come and be saved, citing that the path is too narrow. But, is a narrow path necessarily a bad thing? In this study, we will explore the blindness to truth that can grow out of a heart that has become hardened toward that invitation.

Continuing on the theme “Be Ready,” in this study we see Jesus’ explanation of the reason for His coming into the World, and the admonition to make sure we are ready to one day stand before Him.

Do you look forward to the Lord’s coming with expectancy…or fear? In this morning’s teaching, Pastor Brian looks into this question, and shows how our answer to it may rest upon another question: Who’s Kingdom are we truly seeking to build?

You can’t serve God and money…or anything else for that matter. As He was asked to settle a financial dispute, Jesus took the opportunity to share not only on the foolishness of trusting in that which is not eternal, but also on the root cause of that misplaced trust.

We’ll begin the New Year considering what the Lord would say to us as a church. Our message is entitled: “Out There: Working, In Here: Building,” looking at Acts 1:3-11 & 2:42-47. We will rejoin our study in Luke next Sunday morning.
