Sometimes we feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything on our list. But, when we have the confidence to ask of God, we discover that He will provide all that we need in order to do all that He has for us to do.

In contrast to the defeat that God’s people suffered at Ai because of their disobedience, we will see in this study that God’s blessing is upon those who walk in obedience to His Word.

Some battles in life can seem insurmountable. But, as we will learn in our study, when we walk in obedience to God’s leading and His Word, we never face the battle alone.

In Joshua chapter 5, God has led His people into the Land of Promise, and into further opportunity to learn to walk by faith with the Lord. But before the first steps of conquest begin, the Lord calls them to both commemorate God's faithfulness in the past as they consecrate themselves to Him in preparation for what lies ahead.

Walking by faith and trust in the Lord, it is important when we look at the challenges that lay ahead, that we also remember to look back at the examples of God's faithfulness in the past. We will see this in God's instructions to His people as they began their entrance into the Promised Land.

A successful and victorious Christian life comes as we walk with the Lord by faith. In this morning's teaching, we'll learn that walking by faith sometimes means getting our feet wet before we see God work!

Even though God may have promised something, He often still expects us to walk by faith to inherit that promise. God’s people Israel learned this in a very real sense as they began their move into the Promised Land of Canaan, and we will seek to glean lessons from their experiences.

This Sunday morning we begin our study in the book of Joshua. While Joshua was called to be the leader of God’s people as they entered the Promised Land, there are rich insights here for the Christian to glean. We hope you’ll join us as we study this book verse-by-verse!
