Our Resurrection Faith, Part 3: Transformation
24/02/2019 Duration: 18minToday we conclude our three part series on St. Paul's theology of the resurrection. What did St. Paul mean when he spoke of the resurrection of the body? Why should we care? What implications does the resurrection have for the living of our days. Hear what Father Maney has to say about it and choose to give your life to Christ if you have not done so already. You will find that you enter God's rich stream of eternal life. Lectionary texts for today are Genesis 45.3-11,15; Psalm 37.1-11, 39-40; 1 Corinthians 15.35-38, 42-50; Luke 6.27-38.

Our Resurrection Faith, Part 1: The Basis of a Useful Faith
10/02/2019 Duration: 22minDo you know what the Good News is that the original apostles proclaimed? If you do, is your faith useful or useless. Every three years in between the Epiphany and Lenten seasons, provided Easter falls late enough like it does this year, the lectionary allows us to read St. Paul’s theology on the resurrection found in 1 Corinthians 15. Given the shoddy teaching about the resurrection, and in some cases the outright dismissal of it, this is an appropriate time to talk about our resurrection hope, even though it isn’t Eastertide. So today we begin a three-part sermon series on St. Paul’s teaching about the resurrection. May you find healing, refreshment, and encouragement from Christ's death and resurrection. Lectionary texts for today are Isaiah 6.1-13; Psalm 138; 1 Corinthians 15.1-11; Luke 5.1-11.

The Extravagance of God
27/01/2019 Duration: 19minWhat did St. John want us to learn when he related the story of Jesus turning water into the equivalent of between 600-900 bottles of the finest wine at the wedding in Cana? One of the things is surely for us to ponder the generous and extravagant love and grace of God. Listen to how Father Maney develops this and then resolve to follow Christ in a manner where you don't turn his extravagant and generous wine into water. Lectionary texts for today are Isaiah 62.1-5; Psalm 36.5-10; 1 Corinthians 12.1-11; John 2.1-11.

But Now: The Power and Promise of Baptism
13/01/2019 Duration: 16minEach year we celebrate the baptism of Christ (and our own) on the first Sunday after the feast of the Epiphany. But why? What's the big deal? It's in the phrase "But now" from our OT lesson that proclaims the power of God to rescue us from our slavery to Sin and Death, and that's a Big Deal. Listen to how Father Maney develops this idea and then commit or recommit yourself to the one who loves you and calls you by name. Lectionary texts for today are Isaiah 43.1-7; Psalm 29; Acts 8.14-17; Luke 3.15-17, 21-22.
