How does one go about explaining God in three persons yet remaining one God? For most of us mere mortals, it is almost impossible. But with God all things are possible and it has pleased God to reveal himself to us as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is more than just a mere exercise in intellectual activity. If we are going to worship the one true and living God, we need to know as best we can who we are worshiping. Listen to Father Maney unpack it all and then resolve to give yourself to our triune (God in three persons) God. It's a game changer. Lectionary texts for today are Acts 9.36-43; Psalm 23; Revelation 7.9-17; John 10.22-30. Today is Good Shepherd Sunday, which always falls on the fourth Sunday of Eastertide. What comes to mind when you think of Jesus as the Good Shepherd? Chances are whatever it is, it won't sustain through life's darkest hours. It is therefore time for us to grow up and develop an understanding of Christ that will give us real hope and sustain us when we need it most.

What are we to learn from this third resurrection appearance by our Lord to his disciples? What does this story have in common with Christ's intervention with St. Paul on the road to Damascus, or the glimpse St. John gives us of the heavenly throng, or with us for that matter? Listen to how Father Maney develops these ideas and then give thanks and your life to the risen Lord who loves you and lives with you now and for all eternity in the new creation. These days the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a fashionable thing to believe, mainly because many of us can't imagine it being possible, and there lies the problem. The Resurrection is not about human power or imagination, it is about the power of God, and it is the only thing that answers all our hopes and fears and sorrows. Hear what Father Maney has to say about the resurrection of the body and then ask God to give you the grace to be changed by his power, not your own efforts.
