Build Tune Race

We just finished up our 2nd Rocky Mountain Race Week and had a blast! Listen to the ups and downs of traveling over 1500 miles in our 1972 Mazda Rx2 with Gen V LT Swapped v8 in it! The car does amazing but we did run into a few issues! If you have never been on a racecar road trip I STRONGLY recommend it! This year we traveled with a pack of cars ranging from a 1500hp Buick Skylark to a $1600 Grand Marquis that the guy from Motion Raceworks pick up from Facebook Market place the day of the event!  If you want to see more from our RMRW trip check out our videos! In this automotive podcast we talk about the most recent build to come out of Build Tune Race which is a 1986 LS Swapped Chevy S10! I decide to build Burnie to go compete in burnout contests like Cleetus and Cars, LS Fest and the Hoonigan Burn Yard! After Searching Facebook market place I found a perfect $350 starter truck and later that night ended up picking up a 4.8L LS with 120k miles and the rest is history! On this episode of Build Tune Race I talk to Alex. Alex is the main person that helped me on the Mazda build know as Clyde. If you have not seen the Videos on YouTube or Facebook on the Build, Clyde is a 1972 Mazda Rx2 we swapped a Gen V L83 Direct Injected engine out of a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. The main goal of the build was to build a super reliable streetcar to take on Rocky Mountain Race Week. With only a few months remaining until the week long racecar road trip where we Drag Race the car at 4 Different tracks in a week Alex began helping me build the car! At this point I already had the Engine and Trans Mounted but the car still needed almost a complete build! We started with pulling the stock rear end and cleaning up the under side of the car to move on to finishing the engine install and modifying the front steering and swapping the front brakes out to convert the car to 5 Lug. After lots of work with getting the exhaust in the car and figuring out the cooling system the engine was mostly sitting

A look into my Camaro build Salty! I always get a lot of questions about my turbo Camaro from what have I done to it. To how fast it's been etc. I figured I would make this video to help out people that are thinking about building a turbo LS combo. The first combo in the car was a Junkyard 5.3 that I just did some simple mods to and started learning how to tune the holley efi. I learned how important it is to have the correct turbo, converter tune up ect. to get a turbo car to work. The current combo in the Camaro is a 408 Storker with Trick flow heads the car makes good power and is a lot of fun!
