What's So Great About That?

This week is Meg's choice and it's the 1994 romantic comedy 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. We discuss the culture of weddings, the conventions of romantic comedies and whether we're really supposed to like these people.

This episode is Grace's choice and we're taking a look at Tobe Hooper's classic horror film 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' (1974). While Grace is a life-long horror fan, this is Meg's first real horror film experience. We discuss different interpretations of the film, what we find most disturbing and how everything comes back to capitalism! 

Grace and Meg jump on the podcasting bandwagon with a discussion of the fantastic CW show, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. We talk about the unusual narrative conventions of the show, the specificity of its characters and songs, and its relentless subversion of everything we thought we knew about film and television.We're still breaking in our podcasting shoes, so we'll probably pin down a more consistent structure in the future.
