Societal norms around dress and appearance are always shifting and evolving, Spacious Human founder Eli Cohen cites a NY Times Article from August 28, 1977 entitled “Feminism’s Effect on Fashion.” A psychoanalyst is quoted in the story saying: "If a woman came to my office 15 years ago wearing pants, I regarded it, in true Freudian tradition, as behavior to be analyzed." Eli points out that now in 2022 I don't think you could find anybody who would say, “Oh, if a woman is wearing pants to the office we need to have a discussion around gender.
