Synopsis

It is a very common mistake to look at each rep, set, even training session/workout as good or bad/ success or failure but that is a microscope view of what is really happening! Take a grander, bigger picture approach to your fitness which can be relatable to a savings account!  If you are trying to get your first bar muscle up each practice rep, each different drill, etc is a small deposit into that bar muscle savings account. While it can be frustrating and seem like you aren't making progress with each attempt and each drill you are making little deposits which will eventually lead to a withdraw in purchase of that Bar Muscle Up!  Some might also see it through strength training: let's say you are doing a 5x5 back squat and are only able to get 3/5 reps on your final set. Most would see that as a failure, however you cannot discount those previous 23 reps before the "failure" occurred. Those reps are helping you get closer to your goal, hence deposits in to that stronger squat savings account! Ha
