The purpose of a weight goal is to give you a general idea of what you are trying to accomplish with making lifestyle changes. You want to choose a small goal to start with. Once you reach that goal set another one. But, one word of caution - Weight is only ONE way to measure progress. The numbers on the scale aren't what determine your success. Focusing on what you DO is what will get you where you are headed. Celebrate each improvement to your exercise and eating habits even if the number on the scale isn't changing as fast as you'd like.
