Some people regard the Gospel accounts of Jesus to be legendary. They say that, over time, Christian communities “enlarged” the accounts of Jesus. Jesus the simple teacher thus became Jesus, the Son of God. Some say, “The Gospel accounts of Jesus are legends.” But are they?
