Professor Matthew Bailes returns to discuss his recent work on Pulsars as well as his thoughts and feelings on winning the 2023 Shaw Prize for the discovery of Fast Radio Bursts.   Professor Matthew Bailes is an astrophysicist from the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing at Swinburne University of Technology and the Director of OzGrav. His work primarily focuses on millisecond pulsars and detecting Fast Radio Bursts. Professor Bailes was awarded the 2023 Shaw Prize in Astronomy along with Duncan Lorimer & Maura McLaughlin for the discovery of Fast Radio Bursts.
