I’m Chris and joining me is Shane. We are amateur astronomers who love looking up at the night sky and this podcast is for everyone who enjoys going out under the stars. * Sept 1 - Zodiacal light becomes visible this month (Mercury is also paired with the Moon in morning, but might be tough) * Sept 3 - New Moon * Sept 5 - Mercury at Greatest Elongation 18-degrees from Sun in Morning Sky * Sept 8 - Saturn at Opposition * Mars 0.9 degrees from OC M35 after midnight * Sept 9 - Mercury 0.5 degrees North of Regulus in morning sky * Sept 10 - Antares Occultation by the Moon for places like Australia and Indonesia * Sept 11 - First Quarter Moon * Sept 17 - Saturn Occulted by the Moon - Visible barely here just about 5:30am so you want to ideally be west of the Saskatchewan/Alberta Border…straight through NA. *
