Two period pieces with a modern feel that are about intelligent women who use their wit and their wiles to get their way — it's The Favourite vs Love and Friendship. 

Two satires where characters' identities are challenged and where people must learn to work together — it's The Lego Movie vs Tropic Thunder. 

Two movies where women must overcome invisible hurdles and contend with doubt from those around them — it's The Invisible Man (2020) vs Safe.

Two men challenge their oppressors and become legends that inspire others to do the same — it’s Braveheart vs Machete.

Two movies where a serious kid outgrows their mentor and has to broaden their world perspective beyond the black and white they've been living in — it's Jojo Rabbit vs Harriet the Spy. 

Two movies about women who have always seen themselves a certain way but who are changed for the better after suffering through trickery and misunderstanding with their love interests — it's 10 Things I Hate About You vs 27 Dresses.
