In this episode we finish up the book by the Lutz's. How much is truth? How much was made up? And is it possible that the Defeo murders were connected to the haunting? We share our thoughts and insights on what we·ve learned about the haunting.

In this episode we discuss the demonic haunting of the Amityville horror house. We take you step by step through the book written by the Lutz's. Green goo, moving furniture, a demonic pig and sexy demon dreams. The family only lasts 28 days in the house. Which is way to long in our opinion.

The week we discuss the murders (probably) committed by Ronnie "Butch" Defeo. 1974 the bodies of the Defeo family were found in there home shot to death. The only survivor of this rampage was Ronnie. While it is likely he went on a late night, drug fueled murder spree, it is also possible that the mafia played a role, or that a demon influenced Butch to massacre his family. We discuss the bizarre crime scene and try to unravel some truth in this mess of a story.

This week we discuss Richard Trenton Chase, otherwise known as the Vampire of Sacramento. Chase mutilated an untold number of animals before drinking their blood and making rabbit entrail smoothies. Eventually, he evolved into a sadistic and truly insane murderer. His kill count was low at only 2, but we will never forget the hilarious and heart wrenching antics of this banana nutbread crazy man.

This week we discuss the ghoulish Ed Gein who murdered two women in the 1950's and robbed 40 graves to make himself a suit of their flesh. Gein inspired the popular characters of Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs, Leather Face from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Norman Bates from the film Psycho.

This week we discuss the story of Betty and Barney Hill's UFO sighting and abduction. Their account is the first widely publicized alien abduction case in American history. Talking points include: pancakes, secret government UFO research programs, penis warts, interracial marriage in 1961, and of course alien abduction. 

In this episode of You're Not Safe we tell the story of Anneliese Michel. She was a young German woman who believed she was possessed by 6 demons. The Catholic Church authorized her exorcism which ultimately led to her death 1976. The possession become widely publicized after her parents and priests were convicted of negligent homicide. The movie "The exorcism of Emily Rose" is based this true story.
