ComixBrew Episode #231: Ragnarok And Roll. Recorded on 11-4-2017. It's Thor heavy episode this week because 2/3 of the hosts are hyped AF after seeing Ragnarok. But it's not all about Thor, there's plenty of news as well. Neal Adams is about to receive an award from the US Chamber of Compress. Mark Strong is joining the cast of Shazam. Lastly, the owners of Corona have purchased just under 10% of the world's largest cannabis producer to work on cannabis drinks for adults. Reviews this week are: Deadman #1, Batman: White Knight #2, and Batman: The Devastator. The guys finish the episode by doing some mad-libs themed as an after credits scene for the new Thor movie. ComixBrew Episode #228: Heavy Metal Recorded on 10-14-2017. It's another super lame Monday, but I can give you a new episode of Comixbrew, and that has to help a little, right? A few of the Doomsday Clock covers were released, Geoff Johns also gives us a walk through of the first couple of pages of Doomsday Clock. Netflix and Mark Millar have wrapped on a collaboration project, or at least half of it. There is a preview for a movie about the creator of Wonder Woman, and it looks surprisingly good, as well as a trailer for The New Mutants movie, and they are taking a very interesting turn with that story. ComixBrew Episode #227: NYCC Arms Race. Recorded on 10-6-2017. NYCC just finished up and, just like every year, there was a TON of exciting stuff that came from the Con. So, ComixBrew is here to do it's very best in covering at least all of the exciting and major announcements. There's a couple new trailers out. One for "Happy" and one for "The Runaways" and the guys are fairly excited for both of them. Stan "the man" Lee has a few uplifting and powerful words in the wake of the tragedy that struck Las Vegas.  DC announced the return of Milestone comics, and Vertigo comics. DC is also looking to commemorate the 1000th issue of Action Comics. Marvel had a pretty big announcement as well, but it was not received nearly as well as they had hoped. They announced a partnership with Northrop Grumman to help promote STEM. However there was so much backlash from the comic community that Marvel actually went and cancelled the deal just 13 hours after the announcement. The guys wrap up the episode by trying to come up
