The College has developed a series of three podcasts exploring the legal, ethical and practical implications of the Montgomery judgement, and discussing the new guidance on Consent: Supported Decision-Making, produced by the College. The first episode considered the legal context for the move towards supported decision-making and the second considered the benefits, beyond the law, and the ethical challenges for surgeons. This third and final episode discusses how surgeons can ease the transition and consider some of the practical implications for surgeons’ professional life.
