Episode 050: The Haunted Bay - The Haunt - Part 2
24/01/2017 Duration: 55minFinally, after a long week wait here is part two of The Haunt on Uncontained. In this episode, we wrap up my conversation with the cast and crew of The Haunted bay. If you have not listened to part one of this interview please go back and catch up. The Haunted Bay is a show that wants to disprove, as much as prove, that ghosts are out there. It all started when a group of media students began their journey into the world of the paranormal to find the answers to these questions: Is San Francisco really one of the most haunted places in the United States? What are paranormal investigations really like? The Haunted Bay explores local ghost stories, documents paranormal investigations, and interviews mediums and parapsychologists. “We dig up long forgotten history through paranormal phenomena. We visit famous haunted sites, but we are also discovering that the local mom and pop store, the corner bar, the theater down the street might also be haunted. Ghosts may be all around us...”Links:youtube.com/thehauntedbayf

Episode 047: A Tribute To Shark
03/01/2017 Duration: 44minHappy New Year! Welcome to 2017 and Uncontained episode 47. This episode is a little different than other episodes of Uncontained. Episode 47 is a tribute to my former Program Director, Gregg Scharnau, most commonly known as “Shark.” On December 20th, Shark lost his battle with cancer making my radio family one smaller. Shark was a supportive boss. He let me interview local bands or comics to spotlight local talent. If there was a major band that came through he knew I was a fan of, he would send me to the show to do the meet and greet—or in some cases interview them, such as Corey Taylor from Slipknot. During my time at KRNA I recorded numerous spots (ads) for bands with the overemphasized radio announcer voice. I remember the day he gave my first non-concert spot for Penguin’s Comedy Club in Cedar Rapids, but told me “Static, I need you to record this spot for me but please don’t use the ‘I’m gonna kill you voice.’” Even after I left KRNA, Shark would put me on air from time to time, like if I was back in
