Remembering Red Sox Great Luis Tiant

Once called, the “Fred Astaire of baseball,” the Cuban born player was charismatic, enthusiastic, and vibrant. Tiant won 122 games for the Red Sox over eight seasons. He was a Fenway Park favorite for his “infectious spirit.” We honor and remember the legendary Luis Tiant.

Healey Admin. Acknowledges Increase in EBT Cards

The state now has 2.6 million EBT card holders in a state of almost 7 million residents. That info was discovered through a freedom of information act request by Taunton City Councilor Kelly Dooner. Hurricane Helene
05/10/2024 Duration: 39minHurricane Helene was a category 4 hurricane when it first made landfall in northwestern Florida. The hurricane then made a destructive path up into Georgia, South Carolina, and parts of North Carolina and Tennessee. At least 215 people have died as a result of Helene and hundreds are still missing. Massachusetts Task Force 1, an urban search and rescue team, is deployed to North Carolina to assist with the disaster.
