For my listeners in the United States, I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving.  This is going to be our last episode for the year, as I'm dedicating the rest of the year in planning for 2017 and also rolling out fresh content for my Youtube channel.  For more information about my Youtube channel, you can look up Youtube for Interview Right Consulting.   For our last episode, I’m going to talk about planning for 2107, and I’m going to organize my content by life stages.  In some sense, career planning is similar to financial planning.  Depending on where you are at in each life stage, your focus and your investment vehicles are going to be very different.  Enjoy!  And I'll see you again in few weeks!

    26/10/2016 Duration: 29min

Welcome to our 19th episode.  Our guest speaker today is Dana Shaw-Arimoto.  I met Dana at a Women Leadership event sponsored by Intuit.  There were four other female speakers, all of them were senior level executives at their corporations.  They were all incredible women and phenomenal examples.  So, in order for any of them to stand out, you have to be unique, dynamic and more importantly, grounded.  And that’s what Dana was to me when she spoke.     Dana has spent the last several months forming her own consultancy called Phoenix5th, LLC.  Before that, she spent several years serving as President of TalentWave.  Before that, she was the Global VP of Tapfin, which is a subsidiary of Manpower Group.  I should let you know that we had some technical difficulties when we’re recording, so the quality of this podcast maybe a bit inconsistent.  Here you go, Dana Shaw-Arimoto

  • Upside of having a side gig - Amanda Wowk

    31/08/2016 Duration: 21min

I interviewed Amanda back in episode #5.  I reached out to Amanda at that time because I'm really curious as to what other recruiters look for in a winning candidate.  When she told me that she also has a side practice where she creates content and coaches individuals and businesses as to how best use that content to tell their personal or corporate story, my ears perked up.  For those of you who've been following my podcast, I'm a strong believer in creating opportunities for yourself and going after your passion.  Amanda is a perfect example of that.
