Our October OSSB podcast is packed with all kinds of exciting news and events that have taken place in and around the Ohio State School for the Blind. Our elementary students traveled to the Kentucky school for the blind for the Bill Roby track and field day. Nick and Perseus will share their memories of that day. October 7 OSSB students and staff participated in the 9th annual orthopedic spirit Sprint 5k to raise money to support student activities at ossb. On the September edition of the OSSB podcast, we continue to explore facts about outer space. National pirate day; we have an expert in pirate speak. We meet some students from Mrs. Butler’s class and Mrs. Picard’s sixth period class. Coach Heath gives us a track update as the guys and girls track team prepares for track conference. The Columbus Zoo visits OSSB with some animals. Matt Cromer a graduate of 2009 is our alumni focus. He talks about what he has been up to and his connection with the Easter Seals in Cincinnati, Ohio. Some of our seniors visit the original campus of the School for the Blind to learn about architecture and design. Andre and Aujanee interview Beth Slade from Leader dogs for the Blind. Welcome back to the 2018-19 OSSB Podcast. This one is a short one where we meet some new students and staff, wrap up our summer and look forward to a new school year. Thank you for your continued support of our podcast.

This special edition of the podcast covers the OSSB ECC summer camp. We look at areas of the expanded core curriculum; O&M, social skills, Independent Living Skills and technology. Participants talked about their experiences and you hear some of the sounds of what happened at camp this week.

Welcome to the End of the School Year Podcast at the Ohio State School for the Blind. Students really wanted to amp it up a little and do some exciting end of the year things for you, the listener. We talk with a few of our graduating seniors, We interview some new students who started OSSB during the 2017-18 school year. Mr. Kelley’s fifth period class will present their individual podcast articles complete with music and sound effects. We’ll hear about the catering programs at the school for the blind and the school for the deaf combine to put on a great lunch for Ohio educators. Andre and Latrell interviewed Mr. Kelley. And Principal Mr. Ransey, as you will hear, turned the tables on the podcast team when they wanted to interview him. Welcome to the OSSB Winter podcast. Our team has been working hard to bring you the latest from the Ohio School for the Blind. This month Andre and Latrell will showcase performances of our students from the fall recital. Students in Mr. Kelley’s Mrs. Picard’s and Mrs. Swartwout’s classes will share their experience sampling some French cuisine, because France was the country of the month. Ms. Honse and her classes will share information with us about financial literacy and how to safely use an ATM machine. Perseus will tell us about the annual holiday party hosted by the Columbus Northern lions club. Some of our students had the opportunity to go to the Ocalicon conference and Andre will interview Andy Leach from Hims-Inc and talk about assistive technology for the visually impaired. Anka and Krazimir traveled to the United States from Romania and Bulgaria. In celebration of white cane day, we have mobility week in the month of October. This podcast will cover some of those activities such as transportation, where we will explore different modes of travel. This month our country of study is Costa Rica. We discuss goalball, interview Mr. Cash, speak with an alumni st about her music career, learn about an OSSB group called Aware. And how do you skateboard if you have a significant visual impairment? We will find out when Andre talks with Dan the skateboard man.
