Gay & God, Part 2   Homosexuality is a lifestyle not a sin, but according to some, it is a sin just not the ultimate sin as traditionalist/judgmentalist Christians view it.  The FTP Fam, along with Pastor Amy Yoder McGloughlin, Reverend Ann Colley, Evangelist Tawanda, Mary Truth Serum Pitts and Sandy Smith discussed and digested this notion.  Some suggested that although homosexuality is a sin it is not the ultimate sin it is no more or no less a sin than say, lying or fornication.  Others said Homosexuality is not a sin it is a way of life, folks are born homosexual.  Still others said, they don’t care, they don’t judge and can’t call homosexuality a sin, b/c who are they to judge.  Callers called in and offered that God is love and that is all that matters.  Finally, one of ur guests tried to convice us that is is possible for Is it possible for a leopard to change her stripes! Wanna know more? Rat-a-tat-tat, Part 2,  United States Constitution, 2nd Amendment: “A well, regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the  people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Although the Federal Constitution guarantees that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, this does not mean we don’t have to take responsibility at some point to ensure that guns do not fall in the hands of those who should not have them.  The FTP Fam explored the right to bear Arms and was joined by Linda Elliot, Zone Director of 1 Million Moms Against Gun Control, (!MMAGC) and Terry Carpenter, “Uncle Terry”, Community Activist and all around Good people.  We discussed whether our right to Bear Arms is or should be absolute. Stolen Black Vocies.  Jim Crow's resurgence by mass incarceration!   How is the deprivation of basic civil and human rights suffered by folks returning to our society after jail, different than the deprivations of basic rights under Jim Crow laws, and does the mass incarceration of minorities occur by choice or by force, or both? Carter, MSW, PA LSW as we tackled questions and issues surrounding the parallels between today’s mass incarceration of minorities and Jim Crow of old.  We had a caller give his perspective on why there are so many minorities in the prison system. The FTP Fam tackled the harrowing issue of substance abuse and addiction we joined by Ron Grover, a father, a professional, and an advocate, who shared the painful story of his son's 7 year fight with substance addiction that began with recreational abuse of Oxycotin and grew into an addiction to Heroin.  We discussed and debated substance abuse versus substance addiction, we heard from "Simply the Producer", who shared way TMI respecting her own journey through the 60s and experimentation.  Our listeners chimed in and one shared his painful journey through his father's addiction to Meth and another caller applauded recovery attempts and dared all recovering addicts to "keep their heads up" and keep on fighting.  This show is powerful, educational and a ride that you must take! Check us out! David Bennion, Esq., Immigration Attorney and Immigration Historian extraordinaire joined the FTP Fam to educate us all on the nuisances of the Deferred Action for childhood arrivals, or D.A.C.A. This piece of legislation is what actually stands in the place of the Dream Act.  We learned that although the impetus for such legislation was to try and provide some legal protection for children of illegal immigrants brought here as youngsters, the legislation is merely prophylactic and does not guarantee these children any longevity.  The topic of children of illegal immigrants and their state of legal uncertainty is real and quite disturbing.  If you know someone who may be touched by D.A.C.A even if you don't and just want to be educated and entertained, check this episode out!    Call in, Text, Email, Face Book, or Tweet us your questions!
