Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them
14/03/2015 Duration: 01h01minOur weekly look at the world of bail bonds. Earlier this week I came across a very interesting story out of Mississippi. The Post Conviction Bond. https://www.themarshallproject.org/2015/02/23/buying-time After spending two days and nights in jail for drunk driving this past August, Howell was brought to the Byram city court, where she pled guilty and was told she had to pay a fine of $1,044. If she couldn’t come up with the money on the spot, she was headed back to jail. “I panicked,” said Howell, who lives and supports her son “paycheck to paycheck.” But there was one other option. The judge explained to Howell that she could avoid jail by purchasing a new kind of bail bond, a post-conviction device that bail agents in Mississippi are busily promoting around the state. It would cost $155, and would buy her two extra months to come up with the money to pay her fine. Howell was then escorted to another room, where Patty Hodges from the Mississippi Bonding Company sat ready with the paperwork.

Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them
28/02/2015 Duration: 01h20minOur weekly program for and about the world of Bail Bonds. While at first glance you would think that Law Enforcement and the Bail Bonds world would be the best of friends, the Bonds Man deliveres the wanted bad guy to the jail. No donut break is interupted, the only pesky bit is the paperwork. Alas this nirvana is not reality. The Police and Bondsmen do clash. There are hundreds os stories, some humorous in retrospect, but not nearly so rib ticlkingly funny at the time when you are staring down the barrel of a gun. Why is there this disconnect between the two groups, they share a common goal?

The Week In Reviews - Odins Court
26/02/2015 Duration: 38minBand leader Matt Brookins commented on the latest album: “On Turtles All the Way Down, our sound is refined with a balance of modern and classic vibes, while still retaining the signature 'Odin's Court' sound. We also have the 'missing piece' that completes us – a new vocalist that can bring the emotion and technicality to the music that it deserves. Dimetrius LaFavors' vocals, combined with the more mature song writing and production, have taken us to the next level.”

Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them
21/02/2015 Duration: 01h16minOur weekly loook into the world of Bail Bonds. The vast majority of Bondsman are scupulous in folling the letter of the law, complex though it is. There are a few though who bent the law and even some that totaly disregard it. While the penalties are serious, revokation of lisence etc, many states have very limited resouces to investigate reported wrong doing. So flagrent disregard of the law can go uninvestigated for a long time. Few industries welcome more regulation an oversight, yet tere are element asking for just that.

The Week In Rewiews - The Shams
19/02/2015 Duration: 46minSan Francisco based band The Shams are releasing their highly anticipated EP “One and All” on February 24th, 2015. This multifaceted, Irish-influenced rock band showcases their strong and original song writing skills, and the lads are touring across the West Coast to promote their explosive EP. Whether it was a stroke of luck or pure genius, The Shams formed in 2011 when musician and guitarist Joey Kennedy (Kilkenny, Ireland) reached out to his friend and fellow Irishman Sean Daly (Donegal, Ireland) to join musical forces as the front man for their new project. Daly quickly brought in James Scragg (Cork, Ireland), an old friend and accomplished drummer. Shortly after, talented Irish-American Tommy O`Mahony joined the band with his funky bass. The final member to join was Northern California native Henry Moser, whose expertise on the electric guitar rounds out the group’s explosive and distinctive sound.

Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them
14/02/2015 Duration: 01h10minAbout the only certainty in the buisiness of being a recovery agent is the uncertainty of the mission. Why did someone skip a court date? You can pretty much rule out forgetfulness. There are occasions where the fugitive does indeed have an excuse, he or she is already in jail! Sure it is not that common but it does happen. The rest broadly fall into two categories, those with a plan and those without a plan. Someone with a plan offers challenges. Although difficult to do in todays wired world, with cell phone tracking and the other electronic footprints it is my belief that with money and planning it is possible to disapear. I will be interested on the experts thoughts

The News In Review - Barrett and Guests
08/02/2015 Duration: 02h06minThis week my guests and I will looking at current events. ISIS are thugs but generally run a sophisticated PR operation. That went to shit with the captured jordanian pilot. I doubt they made many friends by releasing the video. Ebola is out, Measels are in. There is a very active discussion on the subject of vaccinations. I seem to recal that kids get stuck with a needle 20 times by the age of two. That sounds ridiculous to me, but if thats what is needed, fine. As far as I can see the whole problem started with a paper written a long time ago by Dr Alan Wakefield that linked vacinations to an increase in autism. It was completely debunked, but continues to get used.

Some dough head parked his quadcopter on the white house south lawn, does anyone care? Malaysian authorities have finaly decided that flight MH 370 crashed and all aboard were killed. The News In Review - Barrett And Guests
25/01/2015 Duration: 02h00sThe 2016 race for a stay at the worlds most exclusive hotel The White House is just getting underway, and people are already 'thinking about, thinking about running', There are no end of potential candidate talking about wearing the GOP mantle. Could this be third time lucky for Mitt Romney? Could the Bush family setting up for a threepeat with Jeb? Will Chris Christie throw his hat in the ring, rumor has it the cooking in the Whitehouse is quite good, and plentiful. Oh and of course we have the perenial non-candidate The Donald. But what would a modern election be without him? Hell if he wins it would probably spawn a rash of reality TV series, I rather like 'Celebrity Cabinet Member'. Even the insufferable Sarah Palin is making noises. I am waiting for one of the Kardashian tribe to anounce their interest. 2016 is gearing up to be a lot of fun.
