In this fourth message in our MYSTERIES series, Messianic Bible teacher, Mottel Baleston helps us unpack the correlations between Jewish holidays, world events, and the return of the Messiah.

• Let us confess our apathy and also our passive or active contributions toward racial disunity. • Let us pray for the gospel to go forth with power and to unify people of all colors and ethnicity – all of whom bear the image of God. • Let us pray for God to pour out a spirit of grace and supplication on our nation. Petition the Lord to remove bitterness and strife. • Pray that the Lord would cause us now to resemble the great multitude in John’s vision.

• Pray that God would ignite the truth already written on every heart so that all would turn to the path of abundant life in Jesus. Pray that God would guide those longing for the truth, to be drawn by the Spirit to the Father. • Pray that we would recognize the wrongdoing in our lives and seek to do the will of Almighty God. Pray that we would do as scripture requires, and repent, that we would turn away from our actions as sinners, and turn to Christ. • Pray that those who do not know you would discover that through following Jesus we have life and have it to the full. To have life as it was truly meant to be lived. Eternal life.

• Pray that all denominations and local congregations would recommit to following the Bible as their final authority for doctrine. • Pray that God’s Spirit would move mightily and that our nation’s churches would be revived in His power with a great awareness/experience of His Spirit's presence. • Pray that the hearts of God’s people would be fully surrendered to Him.

• Confess that you believe what Scripture says about God placing people in authority. Meditate on the scriptures below. • Pray for your own choice at the ballot to be led by the Spirit of God. Pray for all Believers to rise up and vote. • No matter who the winner - Pray for a peaceful transfer of power at all governmental levels and civil REST for our nation. Pray that God causes the candidates who will bring about the most good to ultimately be elected. • Pray for yourself to be a shining representative of Christ's Kingdom in all forums, public and private.

• Pray the spiritual state of our nation and that this would lead to a national repentance and revival. • Pray that God, in His mercy, would bring a swift end to this pandemic. Pray that in the meantime God would protect any who are exposed to the virus from death and serious illness. Pray for mental health as people face anxieties, loneliness, loss, and fear. • Pray that God would guide all leaders who are making decisions about managing COVID19. Pray for families and business owners who are suffering financially. Pray for financial stability, prosperity, and generosity.

• As you seek God’s face in prayer, humble yourself and turn from your sins. Be serious about this. • On behalf of your country/nation/culture/people past and present, confess our national sins to God. • Ask God, in His mercy, to do as His word says and to hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land. • Pray that the Holy Spirit would move all Christians around the world (and especially in our country) to do the same.

Watch your mouth. How many times did my parents say that to me? A primary indicator of respect (or disrespect) is the way we speak to or about one another. It’s difficult to take back what we say. Our words affect the cultural climate. We are in a contentious political season. Many people are quick to express disapproval, even disgust, with one another; especially on social media. We have the ability to shape the culture by guarding what we say.

Today marks the conclusion of our series that has taken us chapter-by-chapter through the entire book Zechariah wrote in the late 500s BC after Jews had returned to Israel from exile and were rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem.

SURVIVOR! Living a life as a follower of Jesus does not come naturally. Very little in our society points us to godliness or Christ-likeness; and the culture we live in continues to assault the foundations of what God reveals to be true. This should come as no surprise since Jesus said: If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. With all that in mind, you need to be trained as a Survivor! And a Victor! In this part of our Survivor series, we work on a communication plan through the spiritual discipline of prayer.

Though it feels like most of the Middle East is antagonistic toward Israel, the Jewish people still hold a special place in God’s heart. She is still the apple of God’s eye. She was the ancient starting point of God’s redemptive plan for humanity and will be the future staging ground for Biblical prophecy. As goes Israel, so goes the rest of the world!

This week we are in chapter 12 of the book of Zechariah where God reveals the future and shows that the world - IN ITS CURRENT STATE- will end exactly as God has planned. In this case, He reveals His plans for Israel to survive and be His covenant people, and NOTHING can stop God's plans. Let's dive in!

This week, we continue our journey through the book of Zechariah by delving into chapter 11. In this chapter, we hear a very simple and clear warning, do not repeat the history of those who came before us.
