Synopsis
This is the place where the world discusses indoor air quality, the built environment and disaster restoration issues. Every Friday at noon ET the show is live. The shows host are Joe Hughes, President of IAQ Training Institute and Cliff Zlotnik, President of Microban Systems. Every week we interview experts from the indoor air quality, building sciences and disaster restoration industry. As instructors for IAQ and disaster restoration training programs and active participants in industry associations we have the credibility and contacts necessary to bring top industry experts as guests on the show every week. The show is designed to help promote education and communication for industry professionals and consumers in need of assistance with IAQ, built environment and disaster restoration issues.

EPISODE99 - Bob Wendt - Building Science Specialist

This week on IAQ Radio we have Bob Wendt a research architect specializing in building science investigations of residential buildings. Bob retired from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Buildings Technology Center in January 2008. He is currently an independent consultant and an adjunct professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Tuskegee University. Bob's current activities include research into the impact of mold and contaminants on residential building materials that have been subjected to flooding or other water damage. This work has been in support of the Department of Homeland Security's Disaster- Resilient Homes project. Join IAQ Radio and this weeks special guest to discuss how we can build better buildings.

A pioneer in the Indoor Air Quality field since 1986, his first focus especially with his work experience in the chemical and sanitation field was finding and implementing proven alternatives in the cleaning and restoration of internally lined HVAC systems and ductwork. Mr. Princenthal directs the AirCare corporate office and oversees all IAQ and Mold remediation projects both in Hawaii and California.
