Ron Poarch preaches on Genesis 32 on August 19 2007. Jacob is heading back to the land promised to him by God. He is mindful that Esau may not accept his return. So he sends out servants to Esau and they report back that Esau is coming to meet Jacob with 400 men. In trusting the Lord Jacob takes action not knowing if Esau is coming in peace or not. Then the unexpected happens and Jacob wrestles with a man all night long who later is revealed to be the Lord.

Ron Poarch preaches on Acts 4:1-22 on August 12 2007. Peter and John are preaching the hope of the resurrection we have in Jesus Christ. The religious and political leaders arrest then and ask them what authority they have to be saying these things. Peter replies that these things are from God. Fully knowing this, the leaders still warn them to stop preaching Christ. Yet they obey God and continue to preach Christ Crucified.

Isaiah's response is one of fear and recognition of his utter sinfulness. Yet instead of wrath we see the Lord forgive Isaiah's sin. Isaiah longing to serve God cries out to God, with God's difficult charge to Isaiah.

Laban has been oppressing Jacob that he may profit off of Jacob, yet in doing so Laban not only oppresses his daughters who married Jacob. But God is also greatly blessing Jacob, and Laban sees this blessing from God as his own loss. Laban and his sons are growing angry and wrestless with Jacob, and finally God tells Jacob to head back to the land of his fathers (Canaan).

Ron Poarch preaches on Acts 3:1-16 on July 08 2007. After the day of Pentecost, Peter and John are entering the temple. They see a man lame from birth begging for money as they entered they temple. Peter, looks at him and in the name of Jesus commands him to walk. He entered the temple and praised God for what God had done. This was done by nothing any man has done, but by only the power and work of God. By the faith that only Christ provides. These things come from Jesus the Messiah just as Isaiah and the Old Testament describes.
