In this morning's passage, we see two men, struck by human infirmity, who each need a touch from the Healer. While each man has a different malady, we'll learn that on a deeper level, their condition, like ours, is actually the same.

If you were assembling a ministry team, what kind of qualities would you look for in your prospective candidates, and what kind of team dynamics would you seek to cultivate. Chances are, you might not have selected the particular (and peculiar) group that Jesus brought together. But God tends to do things...and see things differently than we usually do. We'll explore this in today's message from Luke 5:1-11: "Jesus' A-Team."

This morning we're going to take a look at our fellowship here at Calvary Chapel Franklin, looking at our history, and considering where the Lord is leading us in the days ahead as we seek to continue living out that model for the church in our modern day.

Paul's letter to Philemon is written by a bondslave, to a slave-owner about a runaway slave. In its principle players, we'll see three men who are required to live their faith out loud.

In our study tonight in Exodus 20, we'll examine the Law, the 10 Commandments that God gave His people Israel, as well as their implications then...and now.

This morning we celebrate Jesus' victory over death and the grave, and consider what that means for us today, and in the future. He is risen! He is risen indeed!

On this night, we remember the sacrifice of our Savior upon the cross. Jesus demonstrated His love for us in that, while we were yet sinners, He died for us, the ungodly.

For the Christian, there should be disconnect between doctrine and duty; between what we believe and how we live. As Paul concludes his letter to Titus, he instructs the young pastor to guide the believers at Crete to bridge these ideas in their own lives.

Turning our attention to Titus 2, Paul instructs Titus to admonish the church at Crete not to separate doctrine and duty - the idea that a sound understanding of truth should lead to living a holy life.
