But We See Jesus
07/10/2018 Duration: 17minScripture tells us that God created his creation and creatures to be good. So why is there so much evil in the world and why are good folks sometimes afflicted by evil and suffering? What's going on here? The book of Job and the letter to the Hebrews begin to address our questions. We aren't told why God allows Evil to exist in his good world. Instead, the New Testament tells us what God has done about the problem of Evil, and ultimately that's a more satisfactory answer for our anxious questions. Hear Father Maney develop this idea and resolve to set your sight squarely on Jesus, the Son of God. He is our only hope and future. Lectionary texts for today are Job 1.1, 2.1-10; Psalm 26; Hebrews 1.1-4, 2.5-12; Mark 10.2-16.

Where's God?
05/10/2018 Duration: 12minWe live in a world afflicted by the forces of Evil and their human minions. This tempts us to believe either that God does not exist or that he has abandoned us, not really caring what happens to us or our lives. This is not the God of the Bible as our lessons attest in their various ways! Listen to how Father Maney develops this idea and ask God for grace to see him at work in his world and your life. Then give your life to this God who loves you and gave himself for you in Jesus Christ. Lectionary texts for today are Esther 7:1-6, 9-10; 9:20-22; Psalm 124; James 5.13-20; Mark 9.38-50.
