2. Mistake 1: Assuming people would listen and want to hire us

Hi this is Annemarie and welcome to another #ListenerIntoLead tip.  This is tip #2, which are the mistakes I made and wish I had avoided 13 years ago when I started my very first podcast.   As businesses we know it can take multiple touchpoints for people to get to 'know, like, and trust' you.  And, there’s a difference between your audience building 'know, like and trust' with you as a podcast host versus listening to you and building ‘know, like, and trust’ through the lens of ‘do I want to work with this person?’  In fact, I would say that a majority of your audience is not really looking to buy, but rather to learn, to be inspired, and/or to find and answer to a solution.
