His lifelong passion for wine began early, having grown up on the family’s estate winery, Domaine de la Vougeraie, located within view of the centuries-old vineyards of Château du Clos de Vougeot.Jean-Charles’ passion for California and California wineries endowed with history, heritage and a pioneering spirit led him to Sonoma County in 2003, where he purchased DeLoach Vineyards, an early producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel in the esteemed Russia
