Guest Challenger Mayela Gillan is currently getting her Masters Degree in Environmental Health Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. She also works as a researcher with the State of California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and the Center for Environmental Research and Children’s Health (CERCH). Her research is focused on artificial food dye ingestion and exposure assessments involving children, pregnant women, and women of children bearing age in the United States. In August 2018, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of Arizona.
