Synopsis
Today’s guest is Jennie Runde. Jennie is a licensed marriage and family therapist, and has been working with youth at risk and their families for over 15 years. Throughout her career, she has worked with several organizations devoted to empowering youth in the juvenile justice system, including as an AmeriCorps mentor for teens on probation in San Luis Obispo. While working as a teen mentor, Jennie found that she felt most passionate about helping people discover their inherent creativity, encouraging deep reflection and greater self-awareness. In 2002, She joined Seneca Family of Agencies where she remained for 11 years, working with the Bay Area’s most vulnerable youth and their families in different roles, ultimately as Clinical Director for a school-based mental health program. Her passion for expressive arts and commitment to mindful practice has sustained and strongly influenced her work.
