We had a rather heated discussion with a parent in a lacrosse ‘hotbed’ about how coaching in that hotbed limits lacrosse goalie potential. The irony is that the first sign you are in a ‘hotbed’ is that you get offended about any criticism of your hotbed. These discussions bore me to no end and yet they are exactly what limits lacrosse goalie potential in those areas. A further irony, when people in these areas think they produce the best lacrosse goalies when in fact, by looking at just a little bit of research, they don’t. We’ll discuss. Sure to offend.
