Our guest is Rashida James-Saadiya, a cultural educator, and multidisciplinary artist who recently presented some of her work (Betraying the Spectacle) at Duke University which focuses on the narratives of Black Muslim Women in the south through prose. We talk with her about the complexities of identity, assumptions of strength, and keeping love front and center when addressing the frustration of people who have become jaded by a system that continues to overlook them.
