We've seen a noticeable increase in collaborations between K-Pop and Western artists lately which is amazing! To see K-Pop's influence on today's music is insane and something I'd thought I'd never see. Thanks to the likes of BTS, Blackpink, and NCT 127, K-Pop has a bigger presence in the west than ever before. But let's not forget those who came before! While mostly unsuccessful in terms of popularity or sheer impact, K-Pop artists have tried to break through to the West in the past. JYP made an impressive attempt, albeit a flop, to break the Wonder Girls into the American market in the late 00s/ early 2010s.
